This is my replica of classical tom's screaming in the tom and jerry series. The sound is edited in a way that it sounds distorted and clipped like it was back in the days when someone screamed into the microphone. Yes, this is intentional. (consider it being vintage :d). This is a tone that i generated using my electric fender strat through one of my vintage amplifiers in my studio. Works well as a sample for composing soundscapes with it - i've used these tones in maschine and other sequencing/midi based instruments to create some interesting orchestral arrangements with the tones.
70's era korg univox sr-120 drum machine driven through gap-pre73 preamp sent through joe meek c2 optical compressor sent through aphex compellor compressor, limiter and aural exiter, recorded via sony pcm-d50. I think the univox is broken because i can't get any other sounds than tom-toms and claves from it.
