This was recorded during a harsh storm here i stockholm. Harsh winds blowing thru a small forest. Details such as leaves rustling and hard stormy winds are key components in this recording. It sounds like a storm is approaching what do you think?. I honestly don't remember what i did in post. . . I think i removed alot of bass/rumble, added an expander to remove some unwanted noise to help the winds and leaves to stand out. I probably used rx to clean up some unwanted noises. Equipment:zoom h5 + sony ecm 6080s condenser mic. This was a test to see how the stereo configuration on the ecm 6080s sounded like. I really like it but i would prefer an ab configuration with 2 dpa 2011 or even 2 4060. . . I like the sound it was able to capture even if it may be a little to "centered". I probably will try to use it for my future hiking trips to capture rivers and general ambiances, if i get something special i will upload them here. Hope you like it.

The following soundscape is the result of a capture sequence shot where the microphone is held in a fixed point choosing not to use motion or panning. There have not been used post-production tools used and the chronological development of events is preserved as it was developed during the 11:00:00 and 11:03:30 in the plaza santísima faz located behind the town hall of the city of alicante a tuesday in july 2015. Recorded by a zoom h5 recorderrecorded in 48khz 24bit wave. It would be nice if you share the results of what you’ve done with it. Keeping it aural!.

The melody is made for my game and an inspiration of polar light( aurora),. I use it in my game:http://www. Newgrounds. Com/portal/view/650628. The lyric is:. When you stand, you understand, you shouldn't be afraid. All the wind and all the pain, won't stop your steps and faith. While the sprite turns green or red, we dance for what we gain. Fa-lala~ la-la lalalalala la lala lalala~. Composing by finale 2002editing by audacitytransfering midi to. Wav by format factory.

The sound of a shopping cart going up the stairs. (used in a production of sideways stories from wayside school - a sound that scares the children, but then when we see the shopping cart we realize what it is) created by recording a shopping cart with some stuff in it going down a step. Loopable. Edit: i see a lot of people are enjoying this sound! if you'd like to donate a dollar or two towards my personal starving artist fund here is a donation link: https://www. Paypal. While fooling around with the beat repeat plugin in ableton one day, i noticed it would do this cool rhythmic decrescendo whenever i would hit "repeat". But not when i would export! so i just kept messing around with a simple hi-hat loop with audacity running in the background. I've cut down and sampled this recording many times, think it's time i let it go to see what the internet can do with it ;).

I made this little snippet in the free & open source music making application lmms. What does this suit for? i could only imagine. . . Everything from a dimension travel to someone hitting their head and tripping out into another world. It would be very fun if you left a comment on how you used this, i would be interested to hear. Given the cc0 license, you don't have to credit me of course, it is in the public domain after all, but i wouldn't exactly come complaining if you did!.

Side b from a microcassette i found in an old answering machine on 04/08/2017. A few more tones and test recordings followed by a long conversation between two women that takes up the majority of the runtime. I left in a little blank space for noise reduction purposes should anyone need to do so. ". . . You can't spend your life being unhappy, it. . . It just doesn't work. . . A lot of texture! yeah! even analog modular synths can create texture. . . Well not much of a surprise but i'm getting somewhere. . . !. Have to note what i have done. 1. Modulating a full wave rectifier at audio rate. Fixed modulating frequency. 2. I mix my the output of my two osc and clockmy clock divider with that and take /2 to mixer. Reverb is space hole on my zoom ms-70cdr.

Field recording of a train ride in the western outskirts of paris. I wanted to capture what passengers actually hear when they take that train. It's a bombardier regional train with diesel engine. This is simportant because it gives this particular train a distinctive acoustical fingerprint: you can hear engine bursts (a bit like a bus hitting the gas) no electrical train does that. . . It also has a nice roaring drone. Recorded with a zoom h2n in stereo x/y mode.

Whenever i'm bored i tend to beatbox, so i decided to multitrack myself one day in the hopes of creating a full song out of it. I never did finish it, so i've included this and another loop of my multi-tracked vocals in this pack. If you use it leave a comment to let me know where i can hear what you did with it!.

In my vague times, i wonder what the sound of small pieces of wood in the middle of the vastness of the forest, the sound of the trees beating with their different leaves, pity that is just an illusion of my mind, a citizen of the big city where vehicles and crowds make everyday noise. The drum sound and cuica met was really cool to ambient music and sound effect with reduction and increase in volume.

Gentle night time ambience. One car passes by, other then that, gentle blissful nighttime. The quiet winter gentle breeze carries itself over the roofs between the trees and homes where the lush forest once was. The car that drives by is a piece of sh*t you can totally tell hahaha. Hey btw, let me know if you use this. I recorded it for my song, and id love to hear what you use it for.

It's a sound you usually can hear in a horror movie. It makes your blood freeze if it wasn't ice already. It has medium attack and very long decay. The sound's timbre is similar to what a metal gong could do when hit inside a cathedral. Synthesized with zynaddsubfx inside lmms. Rendered as 96khz/32-bit. Edited and normalized in audacity.

At cmu, there is a building with a really long hallway that has amazing acoustics. In this experiment, i set up a feedback loop. On one end of the hallway, there is a microphone connected to a laptop. On the other end, there is a speaker connected to another laptop. The two laptops are connected via skype calling. I play with my speaker's built in eq, and play my violin to stimulate the resonant frequencies of the hall. A better set up would be to use better equipment directly connected to each other, and have a stand-alone eq to independently control what resonant frequencies are playing.

Not just any thunder this! this is the spanish variety and anyone who has been around a spanish thunderstorm will know what i mean. This field recording was made from my villa and this is both rural and situated between two mountain ranges. So, you've got the thunder, the acoustics, the sound of the rain and the birds in the nearby trees. If you listen closely enough then you might hear the sound of the breeze through the palm trees. Recorded with twin directional mike pointing away from each other. . . For just about the best stereo separation you're going to get!.

I drove my car into a wall; and recorded the proximity alert from it. I then washed it through audacity; slowed it 23%; and trimmed the edges. The result? -chilling. A few indistinct gulps cool the atmosphere a little more. It's not the making of a corpse - but it sounds a bit like it?. Recorded late at night in my car by my home with the engine off in fog - so the sound is 'hollowed' by the atmosphere. Recorded using a sennheiser mke300 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in audacity; and saved as aif file. What a chilling way to go. . . ?.

I was trying to make a techno song for my friend that went horribly wrong!!! i converted her voice into midi, then opened the midi into sony acid and used refx nexus to try and make a techno song, but something went wrong in sony acid during rendering and it took 30 minutes to render, and this scary suspense ambiance was what came out of the failed rendering of the song. . . This is perfect for those scary movies you need to make. . . I hope you find a use out of my failed song attempt!!!.

Opening and closing an old metal hatch in our basement. The hatch is locked by two handles. The first two creaks are the handles being turned, the last creak is the hatch itself. The Shadow over Innsmouth, H. P. Lovecraft Part II "There was only one person in sight—an elderly man without what I had come to call the 'Innsmouth look'—and I decided not to ask him any of the questions which bothered me; remembering that odd things had been noticed in this hotel... One side of the cobblestoned open space was the straight line of the river; the other was a semicircle of slant-roofed brick buildings of about the 1800 period, from which several streets radiated away to the southeast, south, and southwest."

I recently contributed a track to a triple lp set of krautrock cover versions ("head music 2", released by fruits de mer records, december 2020). The song i chose to cover was kraftwerk's "autobahn". If you know the track, you'll know that it uses synthesised traffic sounds alongside recordings of the same. On my version, i achieved these in three ways:. 1) i downloaded some public domain traffic sound effects from elsewhere here on freesound. Org (thanks, guys!). 2) i got in my car with my zoom recorder and made my own recordings of the engine starting, stopping, etc. 3) i made my own sound effects using virtual synths and effects in ableton live 10. This particular sound falls into the third category. Let me stress that while the song "autobahn" is copyrighted, these are isolated sound effects and are not covered by copyright. I'm making them available here under a public domain licence. If you download and use any of these samples, please let me know in the comments what you did with them. It's not compulsory but it would be interesting to know what people did with these sounds.

[absolute_silence_00. 50_sec. Wav]. S/o to rlc209!. Here's what rlc209 dm:ed about this silence: "yeah, it was no joke, your wav file was perfect. I created my first ios app a couple weeks ago and i needed to play a quick silent file to buffer the sound player function within my app so that it would play the game sounds as normal without a slight freeze or delay. ". --------------------------------------------------------------. Absolute silence! intended for the freesounders that truly need some absolute, real, clean silence!. This is not an early april fools joke 2020. I've actually thought about releasing/publishing silences for a long time now (for years!). It shouldn't exist only free sounds but also free silences !. I saw that some freesounders needed clean silence to use as "blank space". That's why these silences were created!. I am not 100% sure what silence can be used for otherwise, but it can be useful for some things when you think about it!. If you enjoyed the silence, please rate, comment, spread! it really helps!. Note: make sure to check out the other matrixxx-silences! the silence quality is always better when you download the silence(s)! ⛄. Enjoy!/matrixxx.

I live on a lake and this is what my back patio sounds like every night. They live in the branches of the weeping willow trees that dip down to the water. The sound starts with one frog, then a few join in, and soon there as a chorus of them on all ends of the lake in all tempos going at once. Then when a crescendo is reached, they all start to stop one by one until it's silent again. But the silence only lasts for minute, and then the cycle repeats. I don't know if it's some huge frog mating ritual, or family reunion.

I decided to go out for the night so i thought it would be a good idea to have my sound recorder going for around 3 minutes. My ac turned on a little after. I caught a few things like fire truck sirens, and some sort of ear ringing sound. Not sure where that came from but it happened. If you have any ideas or theories on what that sound is, don't forget to comment! so enjoy using this sound wherever you like, no credit needed. Thank you!.

I've been looking for a similar effect for quite a few years and no one has built one. So, using a simple synth and bass drop worked wonders for what i needed. The sound effect is from the matrix and is the sound heard near the beginning when the police are attempting to arrest trinity, just before the agents get upstairs. When trinity jumps, this is that effect. My original concoction.
