This is the ambience inside the elevator in a shopping center that's going up 2 floors; there's 2 women riding it besides me: one is carrying a full shopping bag and the other is texting on her iphone. I recorded this with my pocket digital voice recorder.

In 1944, the ensemble even sat in for one of the Marine Band’s popular 'Dream Hour' broadcasts, a program that will be reenacted in its entirety as part of this concert.
