I've created a snare from pink noise with voltage modular, added some spring reverb and a bit of distortion.

Hand percussion 1.

A 1 minute build centered around some simple progressions with some building clean analog synth. Perhaps could be background in a film?.

Huge bass vibration - good for pitch shifting, satisfying click at the start. No decay.

Powerfull, quite short kickdrum, selfmade.

Very tight hiphop/dance kick, made it myself.

This is the sound the drum makes when one rapidly taps on it with the fingers. --general sample pack desc--samples of my djembe drum, recorded with my mp3 player's mic. Obviously low-fi but it sounds really nice. And some post-processing never hurts anyway.

I wanted to create a drum and bass snare sounding a little like jazz ones.

Yamaha pss-190 drums through roland sh-101.

The beat was made using the real drum sounds in fruity loops for a friend who wanted to jam some new guitar riffs for his band. The tempo was originally 60 bpm but sounds better at 90bpm. It comprises of 2 bars of drums with hats and 2 with a ride.

Three quick samples of the gear one mk1000 on kick (+ a single audio technica at2020 overhead on the rest of the kit). Recorded straight into a tascam us-1800 in a lousy room with a less-than-optimal 22" mapex kick drum. Each quick loop / snippet is 1) presented in mono / processed with compression and some eq (mostly a 6dbish scoop at around 300hz on the mk1000 and 80hz rolloff on the 2020 with about 5db less on the mk1000 than the 2020), then 2) presented exactly as recorded / no processing at all save normalization, mk1000 panned hard left channel, at2020 panned hard right. The first two samples are the mk1000 in the resonant head cutout, the third is the mk1000 positioned about 4" from the head and just about 2" from dead center of the drum.

I call this my flash boom. It's a sub plus a pitch shifted snare that i created on my track "a flash of light by the shore" use it to create dynamics on a hit or whatever you want. Give a shout out to stark for machines and have fun! :). - chris.
