I needed the sound of a sign rattling violently in the wind, so i manufactured this with a piece of corrugated metal that had been screwed onto a piece of wood fretwork. I rattled it against a wood box in front of the mic.

This was recorded in my room so unfortunately the signal to ambient noise ratio isn't great, i think it's just passable though.
