In the "word association game" (on this forum) i wrote mangle, as word no 2795. I zoomed in to my post. Made a screen dump. Cropped out “2795 – mangle”. Saved as a monochrome bitmap. Opened in audacity as raw data. Applied paulstretch. Got this swoosh-sound. Let me know if you use it :-).

September 19, 2020 shenzhen, china tested the air raid system. Sorry for the background noise. I was standing on a city street on a rainy day and the cars made a lot of noise driving through the wet streets. I'm not sure if they do this test every year but i do remember they did it last year. I'm also not sure if this is province wide (guangdong) or maybe even country wide. The government let us know about a week earlier that they would do the test. If they let me know one day or even better one hour before the test, i may have been able to get to a quieter area for a better recording. There were some tests earlier with longer tones but my recording had even more background noise and this was the best one.

Breathing sound effect i created for a recent production of carries war. The sound is originally 40 seconds long but looped, as the play requires the sound fx to be present throughout a number of scenes fading in and out. July 2013, rcording from setup pc in greenhouse. Extreme rain changing to hail (25 mm diamter)for a couple of minutes, then rain again. Last bit of recording is sound from pc fan. Did not cut it off, wanted to let listeners understand that i made a temporary installation in the greenhouse for capturing the immense noise.

Its saves the sound file as an aifc. I then brought it into adobe audition cs6 to edit. Recorded on 11/3/2015 in boston ma. Usa.

Test of how uoki-toki polivoks vcf handles sin-wave. I tune the module i use as sin-oscillator (intellijel μvcf) to ca 270hz. I connect it to uoki-toki polivoks vcf. I let a sin lfo sweep the filter, cv1 pot at ca 70%.
