This recording was taken in the coburg mall in melbourne australia. A christian group was singing during a public ceremony. I recorded it on my smartphone mid-morning on the 5th may 2019.

A bird was singing close to a chimney early in the morning. I had my recording gear ready to go. It took quit a bit of processing (= noise-removal & filtering) to get rid of rubbish. I added a slight reverb to it. The recording is made in zoetermeer, a city close to the hague.

On a folk music festival, grupo huapango tries to play the song "perfume de gardenias". But the electricity goes down and the people on the festival try to shout along the lyrics (half of the people sings the verse and half the chorus).

I used made up words and a made up melody to create a sad, wistful, ethereal sounding song. Towards the end, the character is dying so the breath gets more halted and i was hoping people could hear the physical and mental pain. There is a lightness and sadness about it. I hope you like it!.

I came across this singing bird in a tree the middle of the night in a residential neighborhood. This is one funky bird! he's got so many different sounds hes making. The recording isn't as clean as reinsamba's legendary "nightingale", as there is a bit of traffic whine in the backround that comes in at times.

This is a recording (made with an iphone) of a bird with a cool call. I have no idea what bird it is. . . I'm not an expert on those things. Xd. The cool call starts a few seconds in. :). This is not layered or multi-tracked; very active birds this morning! actual 2:00 track of singing. Wide variety of birds. Stereo (large diaphragm condenser (scm900) l and dynamic (sm58) r. Cleaned, eq'd and leveled to approximately -24 lufs. Still quite a range of dynamics!.

Recorded with only a small digital video camera at a cafe in pushkar, india. As i sat by the lake one afternoon, two indians sat down on the ground in front of me and began playing this and singing. There is background cafe noises and the odd motorbike going by and beeps, people talking and its not great quality but, someome may like it. . . It is as natural as you can get, raw sounds of india!(unfortunately, i have no idea what they are saying, id love to know if anyone could translate it?)recorded september, 2012.
