4th of june 2016 thunderstorm in pécel, hungary at 5pm recorded by sony icd-ux512 dictaphone. You can hear the rain slowly coming toward us. The storm was also involved with a funnel cloud and a downburst.

Stereo recording incorporating 2 recordings made simultaneously on the web sdr (software defined radio) in north east pensylvania (fn21mh) at http://k3fef. Com:8901/and the one at raf hackgreen in nantwich in cheshire (io83ra) http://hackgreensdr. Org:8901/i used the filename of one of the recordings for part of this new dual receivers recording mixed in goldwave and time-synched by ear. Left channel is the pensylvania receiver, right channel is the uk receiver. Heard are various stations working or trying to work w1uuu in massachusetts including stations in the dominican republic, argentina, the ukraine, trinidad and tobago, colombia and florida. Some stations are heard better in pa, some better in the uk. Lots of static crashes heard from late spring lightning storms hundreds or thousands of kilometers away from both receivers. You can find over 100 receivers athttp://websdr. Org/most allow you to record, though some have a 15-minute timer.

A strong crack of thunder recorded late at night on friday january 10th 2020 in a small midwestern town. Equipment used: sony pcmd100 using the internal microphones. Pretty strange to still have this much rain and mild temps in january. . . It feels more like march.

Woke up to thunder on a peculiar morning. Was lucky enough to record. Suburb, light rain and a couple of thunder here and there. ♥. Recorded with h4n.

This stereo recording was made on november 23, 2014 in grays harbor washington during a rare thunderstorm. The clip contains rain falling on a wooden deck and recurring peals of thunder both near and far. This original recording was made using a zoom h-6 handy recorder with zoom stereo xy microphone. The track was edited in audacity 2. 0. 6 to remove a few artifacts. Total run time for this wav file is: 8:29. This is my first upload. I am hearing impaired and new to field audio recording. I am fascinated by this art form and hearing sounds that i haven’t been able to hear in twenty years. This is a sound i created by using three different things. I recorded my bathroom fan and altered the pitch, added a few cents and overlayed them at 50%, and added a band-pass filter. I also recorded batteries rolling across the bottom of a drawer, lowered the pitch a bit, and added a high pass filter. And then lastly i added some wind that i created by blowing into my hands. That i did not adjust at all. It sounds just like a thunderstorm.

Nine minutes of a strong thunderstorm with heavy rain and frequent thunder, recorded on the back patio of my house. Recorded with an iphone 4, then converted to wav 48hz. The quality is pretty good. You don't hear any cars or other background noise, just lots of rain and thunder.
