Basically layered a 200hz snare body, similar to a 909, low-passed and saturated. Added in a transient sound, then a certain impact sound that you wouldn't expect, layered together with some high end white noise, compressed, then used a transient shaper for that final touch.

I call this my flash boom. It's a sub plus a pitch shifted snare that i created on my track "a flash of light by the shore" use it to create dynamics on a hit or whatever you want. Give a shout out to stark for machines and have fun! :). - chris.

Created using a wide variety recorded sounds (including a washing machine, sliding of rocks in a metal bucket, and various other objects being thrown and collided), mixed and heavily edited in audacity.

Recording of some new year's celebrations in vienna. Captured using a clippy stereo em172 microphone and a zoom h5 handheld recorder. I positioned the microphone capsules outside the window on the left and right and then gently (almost) closed it. I setup the recorder and rolled the whole evening. This bit was around the apex of the celebrations in that part of town. Sadly some clipping occured, but i chose to upload the unaltered file. So no post-processing has been applied. Cut in ocenaudio. Warning: careful when listening, it gets loud!. July 4th. Recorded in the midwest usa, where we adore our explosives. The omnis on my humble dr-05 did a pretty good job capturing the sheer depth of zillions of people blowing stuff up together :-). You’ll hear: people having a party in the distance, a bonfire crackling on the right, a distant train blowing its whistle, and of course a lot of explosions. A couple of the big bangs clipped, but unsurprisingly, it made no audible difference. I reduced to 48khz, 24 bit and normalized to -3. 0 db. It really wakes up when you apply some eq to your liking. But i left it as is for everybody.

Where we live the fireworks laws are pretty lax so people go crazy with them. Here is a recording from the day before independence day (yesterday) as people were blowing up part of their arsenal ahead of time. In a few hours i will be recording as things get really crazy. Our neighbors on three sides will light off the thousands of dollars of fireworks that they have purchased. Many of them are illegal (purchased from indian reservations) so there will be some big booms. Back to this recording. It is recorded with my "fake head" binaural setup, hanging from a tripod at the crest of the garage roof. There is a tree a few feet away and a light breeze is rustling the leaves. Here is a bit of a timeline:. 0:00 kids across the street light off a few fireworks4:05 the neighbors across the street were having a party, and the guests begin to leave. 6:30 the guest of honor honks and yells "love you" as she drives away. 8:00 the kids across the street go inside. Now all you hear are fireworks in the distance, all over town. 32:17 someone lights what must be a million firecrackers. They continue until 51:20 - 19 minutes!!!.

Mix-up of various sounds to create the ambiance of a nuclear implosion. Good for using in spacial environments. This one is the low frequency version. Both of them can be played simultaneously to variate the effect.

This is a recording made from the balcony of my apartment in italy in the province of rieti, the other evening during the two-hour new year's barrels. From 11 they gradually begin to increase gradually until midnight when they get really strong, then gradually decrease gradually until ten to one, when you hear all silence. This recording was done with my iphone 11 connected to the shure mv88 plus digital stereo microphone.

I combined a lot of fx from this site to make a huge explosion with a large aftermath and ringing in the ears- to make it a more 'cinematic' moment, i have a build up in reverse to the moment, a pause, then the explosion. Rubble and glass fall as the listeners' ears ring from the explosion.
