This is 4 and a half minutes of background noise from a new york city diner, including people talking, clanging plates and glasses and forks and knives and cups being cleared away by staff. Crucially, no music is playing. This means you can either use this clean, or layer in your own rights-cleared music if you're using this in a film or whatever. Recorded in 2016 with an iphone — don't let the recording device scare you, it sounds pretty good and certainly fine for this kind of background noise. Use it in any way you like for any purpose. Construction Duo Astor Place.

You will hear the first construction site that i walked by that has the circular sawing. Then i walked past it and sat down for the majority of the recording where you can hear the second construction site that is about a short-block away and that's where all the hammering is coming from.
