One loud, underwear-browning thunder clap at the beginning, followed by 30-40 minutes of thunder rolling away in the distance. It's effective as a sleep aid, but don't loop its playback because the initial thunder clap will tear you from your dreams. Available under a creative commons 0 licence. Recording a storm while i sleep doesn't constitute the kind of creative labour that fills me with a sense of ownership. Enjoy the recording and use it as you wish.

This caught my attention as an unfamiliar sound, and i actually had to investigate to learn what it was. It was the raindrops hitting some styrofoam bodyboards near a swimming pool, which at times sounded almost more like a hollow "pop" than a "drip. ". In the background one can hear thunder, rain, and the humming of a pool filtration system. Recorded with an iphone 7.

This is a recording of the wind whistling between the cracks in the window, creating very unpleasant unpeaceful atmosphere (with occasional very quiet blind scratching against the window). Made with canon camcorder.

Recorded a thunderstorm using my camera, and mixed this existing sample of a thunderstorm with it. . Http://freesound. Iua. Upf. Edu/samplesviewsingle. Php?id=2523. Also used a few patches from a symsynth to build the thunderclap and some of the rain effects. Added some delays, reverb, compression and eq as well as splitting several tracks and offsetting them to create a spacial soundscape.

This lightning strikes just few meters from me!trying to record a nice dry summer storm in the country side azaruja, portugal. Last night, a strong rainstorm blew in. The wind chimes on my porch were so beautiful, i couldn't help but take a few recordings. Added reverb for a more dreamlike feel, faded the edges in and out for smoothness. Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated always! hope you like it.

Rain falling on my apartment. I´m the last floor and have ceiling windows. I move around the apartment getting different versions. Midway you can hear light music in the background. I also open the window near the end and you can hear a few thunders. Lluvia cayendo sobre mi apartamento. Soy el último piso y tengo ventanas en el techo. A lo largo del audio me muevo a través del apt buscando diferentes versiones. En la segunda mitad es posible escuchar música suave de fondo. También abro la ventana hacia al final y se escucha uno que otro trueno. We love the sound of rain from this apartment. It has a very specific sound. This is an old recording from the year 2001 of a thunderstorm occured on 5th may 2001, at about 2am in pécel (nieghbour town from budapest), hungary. It was recorded by a grundig cr120 and i used audacity to remove the main background noise.

Recorded a near lightning strike using a vive surround sound mic and an h4n zoom recorder. The audio file was edited in adobe audition. The surround sound effect should play in any dolby surround sound system. This was my first attempt.
