The sound of a jet startup. Slide pitch scaler in audacity with some noises i cant remember.

This sound is of a commercial airliner passing overhead. It was recorded using my zoom h4n stereo field recorder, as i faced east, looking over sun devil stadium in tempe, arizona on top of what they call "a mountain". It was captured around 3:30 in the afternoon, in the spring of 2014, with the airplane due east towards phoenix sky harbor airport, descending on approach.

Recorded the whole seven to eight minutes long show in a relatively secluded location, so there is minimal to none audience in the recording. This is a pilatus pc6 swiss made plane commonly uses for freight and in this configuration used to transport skydivers into the air where they are jumping out at 4000 meters (13123 ft). 96khz 24bit stereo.

A nice & sunny recording session at the airport! positioned right at the flight path of departing planes, this served as a test recording for the tascam dr-40x. At some point during the session i decided to point the recorder straight up, instead of towards the planes themselves, creating a nice stereo "pass-by" effect.

I think i used stereo mics that came with my h5. Recorded on top of a parking garage right next to the airport. I caught this great sound early in the morning before city traffic could get busy enough to ruin the recording. Enhanced with ozone 6 and removed some bassy wind noise with rx5.
