More metallic version of rev spaceship drone - recording of a saucepan lid span on a ceramic tiled floor, reversed and timestretched then convolved with reverb and a rhythmic fx sample. All four samples designed to be layered/looped/eq'd as needed.

Instances of surge (synth), rayspace (reverb), and dronebox (resonant delay). Sounds good for scary scenes in outer-space.

Autumn is here and, to me, one of the most soothing of fall sounds is the wind blowing through the leaves of one of my favorite cottonwood tress, along with the lazy, nap-inducing sound of a propeller-driven plane slowly floating through robin-egg blue skies. This recording may sound a bit raw, because of the wind, but, i think it is nice to listen to. This was recorded using my handy zoom h4-n recorder and the microphone that i used is my trusty rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone.

Made a dark drone on my modular.

I'm note sure where or when i recorded this, but it features a number of interesting and useful sounds. It opens with a nice tone, and features various evocative scenes.

Synthetized using a vintage yamaha psr-36 keyboard. Processed in daw with various effects and sound design techniques.

Starts with a generative drone. Noisy and nice. Then i start to wiggle. In some way the synth alway impresses you. Sorry for long sound.

Just some recording of a dried, brittle chili pepper with little seeds inside - up way way close to the mic (a zoom h2n). Some suggested sound design use cases: run this through granular fx for a nice drone texture. Use as an impulse response for a convolution reverb (then run tones through the convolution). Use as a trigger in vcv rack, allowing it's peaks to fire off samples or synth pulses. Or just use it plain within your next experimental acousmatic piece hit single.

I did not use paul's extreme sound stretch, but rather took an original recording of a glockenspiel (with a lot of reverb), and set the playback rate to around 20% its original value. This is another spoopy long background music type thing i've thrown together with pitch shift and time stretch and echo. This one is a bit long to sit through and feels to me like it often needs more space in it, but i have no idea what i'm doing so i'm stuck with what i've got. For background creepy mood stuff there are definitely some good 30ish second stretches in there that are different enough from each other to suit somebody somewhere though, i'm sure.

Jammin on the 60hz hum! i think my body was an acting as an antenna for that ubiquitous drone as i laid my hands on the device. Reminds me of certain early progpsy tunes, c. 1999.
