An antique underwood no. 11 typewriter, ca. 1925. Sound was recorded on a zoom h4 in a sound booth. However, it didn't have a bell or a platen, so the key is hitting the platen of another typewriter from the 1970s. Audio cleaned up in audacity. This is my very old, rusty, squeaky music box that plays "what child is this. " it's so old that it plays really slowly, so i had to speed it up electronically. You can even hear the whirs it makes.

This is a piece i put together using maestro for android. It took me about 90 minutes to do. If you haven't heard of this app, you need to take a look at it if you are a musician. The voices are pretty good in the free version (which i used for this), but i've read that the premium voices are better. Still, some of the free ones are really good. Use this piece as you want, but i would appreciate credit for it if you're going to post the work you do. Please leave comments on anything i've done here.

18th century scottish clock rings the half hour. This is such a sweet, unusual clock. Recorded with a schoeps stereo xy pair to fostex pd-6.
