The sound of someone rummaging through a pocket, small box, etc. I made this sound by moving around a pile of keys, tic tacs, and my wallet. Recorded with audio-technica at2035 mic. No audio enhancements added.

A simple square wave, done with chirp generator in audacity. Starts at 200hz then slides until 30hz. Bass booster and phaser added. Then enveloppe manualy modified (enveloppe tool) + fade out processing for the end of the tail. Then normalized.

Alien xxx sent me a “cross modulation challenge”. I have tried to be true to his idea, but added automation, so to speak. Oscillator1 is constantly fm-modulating oscillator2. I vary the frequency of oscillator1 with an lfo. The output of oscillator1 is sent to a) left audio channel and b) in to oscillator2. The output of oscillator2 is fed to oscillator1. The degree of cross fm modulation is controlled by a vca controlled by another lfo. The output of oscillator2 is also sent to right audio channel. As i’m writing this i have just made a theoretical patch on a piece of paper. The result is what you hear. No effects added. Straight out of the modular for better or worse.

Around 2010, i circuit-bent a motorola cellphone and added a control surface to control the bends. Then i added an atari paddlewheel so its big potentiometer could be used to do pitchbends, and the result is an instrument i called the "sonic electronic ball breaker". It's got knives, quarterstaves, thor's lightning, sharp sticks, nuclear machineshotguns, and even some claws that come out to jab 'em. In this sample i'm going through and playing with the controls to see what i get. These sounds are pretty abrasive, but they work well when run through a bunch of effects.

A scary music bit i made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I added a lot of room, reverb and echo to make this as eerie as possible. It's basically based on a melody with a lot of room. I recorded the sound of myself blowing into an empty glass kombucha bottle in various ways. I then processed through ableton's simpler, added compression, reverb and eq. Mic: blue yetidaw: reaper + ableton.

Just a small sound of me crushing a can, then distorting it and adding so scale-shift. I really like it, sounds like one of those sounds for a ui, like menu hovering(!).

A previous bitcrushed melody i made it with fl studio then i added a reverb effect on it. The dry version of the same melody will be released soonit is a melody played on to octaves , the higher first then the lower. 32 bar long. 90 bpm. Injoy.

I removed the aerator from the kitchen faucet and didn't get it turned off. My coffee cup filled and this sound resulted. I thought, sounds a little like water falling into a pool in a cave; so i added reverb to this file. Iphone and external mike. Reverb in audacity.

A bird was singing close to a chimney early in the morning. I had my recording gear ready to go. It took quit a bit of processing (= noise-removal & filtering) to get rid of rubbish. I added a slight reverb to it. The recording is made in zoetermeer, a city close to the hague.

brownian type of noise with a 0. 8 ampitude, 2 sounds layered with added effects, refrigerator buzzing and light rain combined and softened. Recorded, processed in audacity.

Messing around in logic with some surround impulse responses and delay designs. Ended up with something that sounded a bit like a submarine sonar blip. . So i added the sound of a fridge, time stretched using the flex tool and pitch adjusted and now it sounds almost real :).

This is a looper i made in cubase with a vst instrument called rubber duck. Added a reverb and delay. It runs over several breaks at 112bpm. Hope you enjoy :).
