This series is done through layering and processing many samples of drum sounds i synthesised using various plugins namely xoxo's vst's and zynaddsubfx mixed with some old hardware samples i made a long time ago. There are 4 packs of the same series : perc snare kick and hats all using the same process.

This is a reese synth for drum&bass. I put tube distortion and unison detune, for keep the sound more fat.

The title says everything. A distorted reese. But now with flanger and phaser. Its darker and harder than asdfreese.

My roland jupiter 4 with resonance cranked up and filter modulated with lfo by a very low rate. The deep basses at the end of each sweet may be great for deep dub-basses. The sweep sounds great with effects and when gated. Have fun. . .

The origin of this kick sample was recorded into m-audio delta66 from the famous ussr synthesizer, named is "polivox". Compress and equalizer with tc powercore.

A screwdriver was "clicked" across an sm58 microphone. The result was pitchshifted and filtered.

This sound is from a field-recording in the peninsula de paraguaná, edo. Falcon, venezuela. It is basicaly wind hiting the mic´s diafragma, equalized at a very low frequency. Trying to get better on the pluggin, please leave comment if you like. . !!.

This standup bass was sampled using a direct pickup as well as stereo overhead mics for some room ambience. Articulations include a normal pizzicato, or finger plucked note; a stopped note as performed with the finger; a stopped note performed bartok style; and some miscellaneous sound effects: a slide by the hand down the strings, a slap on the strings, and a knock on the wooden body of the bass. This is a deep bass rumble sound. Created in audacity by generating a brownian noise and band passing it through a steep 15 to 100 hz filter. The reason for the roll off below 15hz is to remove energy that doesn't produce any sound. It just moves the speaker cone and wastes amplifier power, thus it was rolled off.

As i was working in an incidental sound i was continuously recording. All i saved was the ending. 2 seconds. But the sound is nice. Something in-between bass sound and bass drum sound… if you find use of it let me know.

Back in 2015 i have rendered this loop to show my mates how effective ableton's vocal eq presets actually are. I encourage you to try them yourself as well. (not sure about sample key, 150 bpm).
