A sound made for a project a few years back to sound like the whirring sound of a wind turbine.

* the music is a backing track, intended for practice, exploring the dorian tonality. The backing track runs through each of twelve tonal centers, starting with d dorian and moving down a fifth every four measures (counterclockwise through the cycle of fifths), ending with a dorian. * the audio consists of a single pass through the 12 tonalities, but the files are optimized for looping and should transition smoothly from end to beginning, given the appropriate looping software or hardware. * the tempo is 95 bpm. * i enjoyed making this track and found it useful for practicing various ideas, such as running scales in different positions, directions, and intervallic combinations, superimposing triad and tetrad shapes, voicings, inversions, and lines. And just jamming out and improvising freeform.

Hoping this one doesn't have the squeak sounds like with the wav file. My first attempt at ambient guitar. Recorded with my epiphone sg through the walrus slo pedal on 'rise'setting, into the focusrite 2i2 interface and then into reaper. The bass is a squier mini-bass through a behringer bxl1800 amp into the interface and into reaper. I used reverb, eq, compression and pan surround on both instruments. Comments welcome and let me know what you use it for. :-).

This is a 68 bpm bass line i recorded i was going for a clash type vibe. Feel free to use this! credit is optional but if you wish to credit me just credit me as "blaink saint" id love to hear what you make with this!.

From frederick noad's book: 'idiots guide to playing the guitar. ' noad plays it so beautifully, i could never match him, but i just wanted to try it with the electric instead. Recorded with my squire tele and squire bass into the focusrite interface. The guitar went through the walrus slo pedal on 'dream' setting with editing done in reaper. (shout out to kenny gioia for the tips). Bass was run through my behringer bxl 1800 bass amp and through the interface. Both instruments were triple tracked. Noisebass.

Created using tracktion waveform-10. I used 3 instances of the builtin synth subtractive, 1 was for the body of the snare the other 2 were the noise to try and replicate the wires of the snare, finally i used zynaddsubfx to create the transient. There was some eq applied to boost key frequencies in around 200hz and mastermix plugin to compress the audio.

A rickenbacker 4003 playing a melodic lick. I played the bass connected directly to a motu 828mkii. I recorded using logic running under os x 10. 10 yosemite on a mac mini. I used fission to trim the beginning and ending and perform normalization. Note: this is a replacement for sound #328627 which i had mistakenly uploaded as a stereo file.

This is the sound of a clock ticking, if you can believe it! i added reverb to it and sloooooowed it doooooown to about -81 percent of it's original speed. I think this sounds like an air-conditioner going off in a cathedral. (see tags. ) i hope you can use this and i hope you download the other "big room ambiences" i create. Sorry about those clicks in there! i don't know where they came from, but i think you can probably edit them out. Please excuse. Made with audacity and a clock ticking, if you can believe it!.

A layered and processed kick drum i made, suitable for trance or techno.

This began as a short sample of brown noise created on audacity. I boosted the bass and stretched it out a little with paul's extreme sound stretcher. All very easy but i quite like the result.

It is a sample recorded with an electric bass, using m-audio maya 1010, in order to analyze its spectrum content.

Hollywood film like synthesized bass effect.

Hellohere is my first entry and a lot is waiting to come later. This sample is made with reaktor4. The ensemble i used is called ttool. Only a straight drumloop with a decent 303ish line in it. I placed region for looping and a marker for shorter loop,too. Its a simple 4x4ish beat,so u can change (sample) easy-er the way you need it. Normalised at 0,1db. Hope u like it.
