This is a very brief noise chunk that an old macintosh 68040 produced in the format translation process between application programs.

A synth chord with a resonant filter that erupts rhythmically due to an lfo sequence routed to the filter. Made with native instrument's massive digital synth.

This kind of noise consists of only values -1 or +1. This produces the maximum energy for the least peak to peak amplitude. The algorithm for this noise was created two years ago by myself in c++, as an imitation of noise generators in supercollider 2.

Percussion made in blok modular. Kind of morphs around but plenty of bongos and some kind of shaker towards the end. You can maybe get a couple of claps out of the end part too. Sometimes sounds a little too fm-y (think sega genesis sounds) but others sound pretty organic imo.

One sample run through lots of effects, but a large part of the sound is made by running the sample at really fast repetitions, so fast it just becomes a tone. That and making the sound repeat in fractions (?) or something like that. Like one trigger is 5 times and then the next is 3 times in the same space of time. Etc. Sound obtained from the noise of some marbles in an aluminum bottle. After recording, the sound was processing in ableton live program.

These are glitch sounds i made through a technique called "databending. " basically i opened several pictures in audacity, and forced it to play them as sound files.

Alienxxx and i had a little private dare. This is how it sounds when i have mixed the two resulting files. I made a schematic sketch on a simple modular patch. All info was this sketch. Remove pop around 58 seconds. Generally clean up pops in track. Remove background hiss. Remove 2 pops, increase amplitude to make louderremove the harshness of the kids s's, generally increase quality of track.

Siren effect with digitally controlled frequency sweep using 96khz crystal controlled oscillator, 8-bit binary counters set up as a variable frequency divider. I added slight reverb.

This is a very brief sample obtained by opening a zip file with audacity. It sound a bit like a dial-up modem. It seems to work well for melodic solos and playing two or three note chords sounds good, too.

This is a random synthesized click-sound followed by a reverb with 200 ms pre-delay. I used cubase roomworks and roomworks se for the reverb, synth 1 for the click and various plugins to master the samples a little. Still they sound pretty unprocessed so you can edit them to fit your needs.

Some cafe ambience severely altered with blok modular fx. Was originally a long jam cut up into a bunch of individual files but i figured searching through them would be a pain so i merged them back into one file. So listen through and pick the sounds you like with a wav editor, or enjoy it in its own regard as abstract sound sculpture or something. I don't want to divulge too much of what the patch looked like but it random note values with each keyboard press which were then ran through a waveshaper. Later on i add some reverb and use various things to alter the panning for some strange stereo effects. Edit: you might want to use a dc eliminator on the samples because the waveshaper creates some dc offset (basically useless low/zero frequency noise for those not in the know).
