Walking on pine needles on a late-winter day in the middle of a peaceful forest of 45 foot tall white pines. Recorded in early march using the zoom h4n recorder and it's built-in stereo microphones.

A recording made in july around 7:00 at night near a huge man-made lake. The ever-present insects are there, but overshadowed by the peepers. 13 seconds in a dog barks off in the distance and the echo is just incredible. 24 seconds into the recording is the classic call of the red-wing blackbird. Made with samson c0-2 stereo microphones feeding a zoom h4n recorder.

I've labelled this as a thrush, but i'm no ornithologist. I recorded it outside my house in northumberland, england at 03:30am on 22nd may 2012, using an olympus ws-560m digital recorder. You can hear a stream running faintly in the background and the odd pheasant call from across the valley.
