Recorded in wet area by a cornfield in northern dutchess county ny around 2005, using a matched stereo pair of (soundroom,inc) oktava 012 mics w/cardioid capsules in an x/y configuration feeding a marantz 660 digital recorder.

A chorus of spring peepers recorded from the pond behind my house in massachusetts, early april 2014. Some traffic noise is audible in the background, as are a few other frogs i have not been able to identify.

Recording of loud frogs in a small pond out behind my house in massachusetts. As near as i can figure from other recordings i've heard, these are eastern grey tree frogs. Crickets are also audible in the background throughout the recording, as is some background traffic noise. A peeper or two make cameo appearances as well.

Several different species of frogs croaking and droning. Recorded with my iphone at raccoon lake near centralia, illinois at night. There is a big splash near the beginning from something in the lake, which gives it more of an air of mystery, i think.

Sound of medium strength wind through pine trees by a lake. A family cycled past a couple of times as well. Recorded with a tascam dr-05.

Moderately flowing stream - jack creek in central oregon's cascade mountains flows out of the ground at the base of three fingered jack mountain. The water comes from a glacier on the mountain a couple of miles from where multiple springs create the large creek bubbling up from the dry ground. This recording was done several hundred feet downstream where the creek was already about 50 wide and only about a foot deep. After a busy spring listening to the many different warblers which come to visit and a busy summer immersed in the busy sounds of life----both human and natural----autumn's subtle, quiet muted soundscape can be almost like a re-birth for the ears and the soul. The insects, which had taken over center stage since august, are still singing---though now with a quieter volume and a more even sleep and though-inducing tempo. . . . . . . . Brisk winds from the north can be heard more clearly now----swishing, rustling the weedy, tan edges of fields. . . . . Hinting at the bite of much colder masses of canadian air waiting on deck for their turn in the months of november, december and january. . . I made this recording on the evening of october 4th 2014 at the edge of a field which was bordered by thick stands of oaks and pines of a major national forest. . . . . I couldn't help but pretend i was linus waiting in the pumpkin patch for the great pumpkin to arrive!. Here is a strange meewing sound that a group of deer made at a nature park.

Recorded using a pair of rode lavalier microphones from a loft window. The hail stones were hitting the metal flashing (i think that it what it is called) around the window. Loved the rhythm and hypnotic nature of this. If you use this recording, please let me know as i'd love to hear how it is used.

I don't remember making this, but i'm pretty sure all i did was run some white noise through bassboost a couple times. It works for earthquakes, distant tiger roars, and other subsonic sounds.
