The "concrete cello" pack is a collection of scraping, scratchy and droning improvisations on the cello focussing on the creation of sounds to be used as base materials for future compositions. They were originally recorded in 2019 to be used in as sound design elements for the documentary "hotel regina" by director matthias berger for which i composed the music. Part of the impetus of this sampling session was to create cello sounds that would be remiscent of construction machines. (if you look on the geotag you can see the machines, well, sort of). Made back in 2005 for a slasher rap beat on fl4 or 5. . Used strings and a dark pad, also a slap bass. I was really into bone thugs n harmony back then, so i really wanted to take the gangsta feel to a whole different level. . It just turned into a slasher thriller horror type beat. .
