Part one out of who knows. I made this sound using an existing sound from my old tv, and a default static cut up into chunks from audacity.

This, my dear friend, is ils - infinitely loud silence. Play some other sounds and then play this, and you'll know why i call it this way. It's created by a bug present in lmms, a free program for electronic music production. Actually this sample can't reproduce the ils phenomenon, that creates a dc offset so big, that it outnumbers any other signal getting out of the same audio interface and the result is silence. It's a silence that is masking other sounds. Mind-boggling. Nasty bug. All this sound can do is cause some distortion, probably because 24-bit sound can be only as loud as 0db. 32-bit floating point should be able to get louder, but still i don't think any sample file would be able to reproduce this product of error.

A very weird sound i stretched and manipulated of my computer mic giving off some kind of feedback. I thought it might be cool as a spaceship or sci-fi sound effect.

Ostensibly, this is supposed to be a cleaned-up version of the famous radio transmissions recorded by the judica-cordiglia brothers in november of 1963, in which it appears that a female russian cosmonaut perished during a botched atmospheric reentry. What it actually is, is a combination of background sounds and a static-edited recording of a female vocalist (stellarcricket), featured in one of my completed audio projects. (if anyone finds a use for this transmission recording, please do let me know how it was used! i'm curious to see what others can do with it!). Completely made in sony sound forge 10 with the fm tools. Starts off with a sine 6,000 hz to ~12,000 hz in about three seconds to emulate a camera flash warming up. For those who intend to use it as a part of a futuristic weapon in games, flashes, or movies, i also added a double beep as a "weapon ready" cue and final tone at the for an optional "locked on" which could also double as an error beep.

Short music for a funny or stupid scene. This sound is loopable! great for fail video or dumb stuff. [cc zero].

A technical problem i had with my technics stereo cassette desk rs-5 where playback would deliver this fading squarewave at maximum volume. Apparently, it could have been an issue with the tape header wearing out. Thought i might as well upload it here, as i'm not sure anyone will be able to create this sound again. Note, this sound was de-amplifiied by 10 db in audacity 3. 1. 3. Simply put, the raw file was incredibly loud. If you're curious enough, you can increase it back up to its original volume, though i wouldn't advise it.

I accidentally made this in audacity adjusting the tempo of a chime sound effect, but maybe it has uses elsewhere. Sounds to me like a game show "wrong answer" sound effect or a magic spell that fails to cast.

A few seconds of mistaken recording in a car. I believe it's radio commentary of a sports game of some kind, but you can't tell what the man is saying.

This sound was created by mistake and i thought it sound perfectly like a bad transmission from radio or spacestation. I´ve cut the audiofile so it is loopable. *warning* --- you may want to turn your volume down*this was accidently created when i was goofing around trying to convert an iso file. It was actually for the movie "a beautiful mind". When the conversion started i wanted to see what it looked like so far and this is what i got out of it. I didn't want to delete it because it sounded so cool. . . . Almost like what a computer world might sound like or "a computer's brain". But anyways i figured maybe someone else might want a sound like this too. I might use it someday myself.
