This is a series of sounds created using brown or brownian noise to generate 'silence' that can be put into the background of videos (or other media). The names are just descriptive to differentiate them and don’t include any added sounds. If the sound of one is close, then try others in the pack. Creative commons zero licence, but would be great to hear from you if the sounds are useful.

Two seperate recordings of an old computer with a tweeter wired as a microphone, then hard panned, compressed, saturated, filtered and run through a ms-modifier a phaser and a 15 second long convolution reverb.

Electric storms are not very common in sevilla, so after a couple of days of intense activity, i recorded some thunders from my window :). Gear: zoom h6n built-in micsedit: wavelab (just fades).

Ambience recorded at a dry river channel in suburban monterrey, mexico with the constant drone of a factory nearby (with clicking and vapor hisses once in a while). Crickets, a little stream and distant traffic.

I recorded a sound and edited until it sounds like this - ambience themed electric wind or maybe a snake.

A dark/eerie alien-like atmosphere for background ambiance. This sound was created using my modular synth, more specifically the black wavetable vco from erica synth and a mutable instrument clouds.

Made some sounds for a film i worked on. Thought i should share since i use so many of the sounds from this website. =).

On deck aboard a baltic sea car ferry bound from rostock/germany to trelleborg/sweden. It is late evening, and the ferry is cruising clear of the harbor into the open sea. The recording features the ambient noise on deck, mainly the drone of the ship and it's diesels, some sea in the background, and the occasional door opening and closing. Recorded with a zoom h2n. These are the rear channels of a 4ch surround recording. Mics set to 120° dispersion.

A haunting, suspenseful drone made by heavily resampling two pads, pitching them apart from eachother + other fx. Lots of reverb. Big wob at the climax.

Recorded next to a window, in a seventh floor, with traffic below, while it was raining hard.

The end of a rainstorm around salem, oregon. It goes from heavy to light rain over the course of a few minutes. Recorded with a tascam dr-40.

I closed my bedroom window, popped a shotgun mic in the middle of the room and recorded the ambiance while it was drizzling outside. Hope this helps in anyway.

This is a standard weather service from arlanda airport, recorded via software defined radio on a samsung mobile phone. The female synthesized voice gives info about runway and weather conditions.

October 28th, 2020 the wind and rain sounds from hurricane zeta [30 seconds] captured in the french quarter of new orleans.

Sound sources: make noise mysteron (high energy excitation and depth, type and gen extreme cw) and white noise doepfer a-118. High red and blue mixed output. Maths- controlled: mystery excitation; dynamic and adsr. Maths triggered by stepped make noise richter wogglebug. Sound signals passed through 2 channels of make noise dynamix. Summed output to soundhack make noise erbe-verb. Decay controlled by internal feedback loop. Size controlled by wogglebug woggle output. Erbe-verb output into morphagene. Straight playback into reaper. 32bit 48khz rendering. Totally synthetic with no prerecording. Grateful to make noise company (shared system and other modules) and those "awfully compelling" instructional videos on youtube. No financial connections.

This storm came thru this morning and i recorded it on my zoom h6 using the built in mics. There are some good rumbles of thunder in this recording.
