Coffee is served from a coffee pot into a cup, then the cup is placed on a saucer. Recorded with a zoom h4n portable recorder. Edited a bit in audacity to raise the level of the coffee pouring sound and lower the level of the saucer impact sound.

Prepare tea: open metal can, rustling tea leaves fall into a strainer, boiling water is poured in, the kettle is turned off again. Recording with tascam-dr05, post-processing in garageband and audacity.
The whole precedure: switch-on-klick. Heats up. Hisses with a few nice whistling melodies (from 00:27 on). Boils. Automatic switch off. Close stereo recording (10cm) with sony pcm-10. Pretty low background noise (kitchen ambience).
A handful of spaghetti cracked into half. I don't know how to use this but often an injury in film foley is just breaking a celery or something else. Recorded with a tascam dr-40. Stirring up something with a wooden spoon and decided it was gross enough to record. I tried to keep the stirring sounds out and just have the wetness, but easier said than done.

Rubbing my finger across a kitchen knife and pushing carrots stacked on the knife into a ceramic bowl. Recorded with my lumix g7 camera with rode video micro attached to it.
I dropped a roll of toilet paper inside a small bathroom trashcan about 30cm away from the mic. This was recorded at the open window institute sound booth in centurion, south africa.
