A single distant thunder has been recorded in the evening on 6th of may 2013, in pécel, hungary by my stereo dictaphone.

Regular and continuous rumbling thunder. I stood at my back door and recorded the storm as it rolled by. No huge thunderclaps or lightning strikes, but a steady stream of flashes and rumbling that followed. If you need a prolonged active storm backdrop, this is it. Recorded on a tascam dr-40. I recorded this rainstorm with thunder in june 2021 in grimbergen belgium. The rain fell straight down with little or no wind, accompanied by subtle rumbling in the clouds with the occasional louder thunder discharge. Hope you like it. Use it freely.

Rumble sound recorded during a storm.

This is a recording of heavy downpour on the streets of a rural village in germany. The rain was also dropping down on a small metal roof not far away. Furthermore, there was some rumbling thunder going on in the distance from time to time, as well.

This stereo recording was made on november 23, 2014 in grays harbor washington during a rare thunderstorm. The clip contains rain falling on a wooden deck and recurring peals of thunder both near and far. This original recording was made using a zoom h-6 handy recorder with zoom stereo xy microphone. The track was edited in audacity 2. 0. 6 to remove a few artifacts. Total run time for this wav file is: 8:29. This is my first upload. I am hearing impaired and new to field audio recording. I am fascinated by this art form and hearing sounds that i haven’t been able to hear in twenty years. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on the quality of my work and, if you choose to use this in a project, the end use you have in mind.

Nine minutes of a strong thunderstorm with heavy rain and frequent thunder, recorded on the back patio of my house. Recorded with an iphone 4, then converted to wav 48hz. The quality is pretty good. You don't hear any cars or other background noise, just lots of rain and thunder.

A soft rain followed by a loud thunder, recorded some years ago in my house during a storm, with the pc microphone. Half an hour of the storm was recorded, and i've extracted this part with audacity to share in here.
