A short song i made up for a game i am making. Generally meant to sound medieval. I did not record this as exported from an app. I didn’t end up using it, instead i used teller of the tales by kevin macleod. Play my game on scratch. Mit. Edu: (not released yet but is on my homepage, mad2-) chop! simulator.

A medieval troubadour playing alone a melancholic music, in a room of a big castle. This is a synthesized sound produced with zynaddsubfx, trying to emulate the medieval instruments and atmosphere.

A trumpet sound i did for a theater production. Pieced this together using royalty-free music.

It's a prusa 3d printer doing mesh calibration, which is performed once before each print,. In this case it's testing 49 on the print bed, instead of the default 9.

I used a bandpass filter of 50 bandwidth at 475 hz on audacity to transform a goat "baw". The sound isn't too unusual, just a little more hollow than the original due to the very small spectrum i use. There are two goats.

It´s a fork-lift truck moving 3 times up one time down.

Industrial edit.

Sound made by a small electric motor cranking and reversing a lever (on an infant's glider/sleeper). This take has multiple repeats of the sound (a different take i have here provides just one repeat of the sound). If you pitch-shift this down about six steps and add a metal/plate/hall reverberation effect, it sounds remarkably like a sound you hear in the carbonite chamber scene in the empire strikes back :). This was recorded with a sony icd-st voice recorder held next to the glider, then noise removed with an audio tool, then normalized. I request but don't demand credit to me (richard alexander hall) for any use of this sound.

Medium crowd of czech people going home after firework show. 2x t. Bone sc140 microphones and rode ntg3 directly to tascam dr680.

Jackhammer in a series of pulses from a reasonable distance, so the recording is clear and with decent but not overpowering volume. Summer songbirds in the background fill between the pulses and after the jackhammering stops.

Loop sounds like some sort of machinery churning away.

Two-pole circuit breaker recorded held in my hand, also pressed against a wooden board for more resonance. And some rattling mechanical handling noises at the end. Useful as electrical switch click. 96 khz, 32-bit float. Tlm-103 mic straight into pro tools. The only processing is a mild gate. At least it has a good noise floor.

Mechanical clicking sound from turning the clutch ring to adjust torque on a rigid 18-volt drill/driver. Recorded with zoom h2 handy recorder.

This is a very lowfi recording of a xerox workcentre 7345 in a very small room being switched on from standby and initializing, including some button presses with beeps, mechanical movement sounds and motors. The bitrate is only 13 kbit/s and the resulting audio quality not very good, but the file size is really small. Maybe audio level needs normalizing, though.

The sound of a lift in an office block in hounslow. It has a clanking mechanical sound that might work for a metal monster or robot in a sci-fi film. The lift chimes are also very old school and might be useful as well. Recorded with a tascam dr44wl.
