4th of june 2016 thunderstorm in pécel, hungary at 5pm recorded by sony icd-ux512 dictaphone. You can hear the rain slowly coming toward us. The storm was also involved with a funnel cloud and a downburst.

I just recorded this on my phone whilst i was chilling in the conservatory atont the back of my house. . . The heavens literlly opened for a very heavy shower of. . . You will hear the rain on the roof and i move the phone closer and further away from the roof so to get a good soundrange. . I also open the door and let the recording pick up the natural outside showering and rain gushing over the gutters hitting the patio and back step. . From a tascam dr-22wl handheld recorder with a rycote softie, taken from the top of the cliffs on the path, with my back against a stone wall. Recorded at night, so no sounds from people or vehicles.
I'm back with another binaural. I am attempting to capture the sounds that remind me of the places i have visited. This is a recording of fuertaventura, in the canary islands, on a pebble beach the morning after a big wave swell. The rocks being moved by the sea are at least as big as footballs, and the waves are 8-12ft. I upgraded my binaural mics to roland cs-10em from my homemade ones. I'm happy if you can notice the difference. I like that they are combined mics and earphones with little windbooms. Files are recorded in:24-bit 96khz. Wav. They are as big and as high quality as i can make. Please comment :).

Long play at around 30 minutes of continuous sound with occasional ambient noises recorded (distant planes, birds, etc. ) recorded on an unusually cool day in august. A field recording of small waves crashing on a sandy shore. Part of the recording includes the waves splashing against a wooden structure. The waves come a fast, regular intervals; this isn't the slow rolling crash of a barrel wave on the beach. There was a bit of wind (generating the waves) which i've did my best to minimize, but if you don't want wind in the recording you're going to need to edit around it. Always curious to see where these recordings wind up, so if you use it drop me a link in the comments if you think about it.

Third in a series of 3 consecutive recordings of the sound of summer birdsong in a suburban english setting. This one prominently features the sound of water flushing through an outside kitchen drain into an alleyway. Common suburban evening birdsong can be heard clearly throughout with distant traffic noise in the background. Recorded on a summer evening in june 2016 in southern england using a rode nt-4 microphone in a rycote lyre shock mount, marantz pmd661 and edited using adobe audition.

The sound of southampton water at around 5am on a bank holiday monday (national holiday). The microphone was placed right at the shoreline where the water meets the land. There are distant boats/ships, the oil refinery and a few sea birds. The wind was about 2 to 4 mph and that created some very small waves that can be heard lapping against the shore. Mixpre3, rode svmx, rode deadcat, 17hz hp.
