Recorded deep in the shawnee national forest after a lot of rain which filled the many little creeks. Rode ntg-2 and the zoom h4n recorder.

This is a larger stream in the shawnee national forest. At this particular point on the stream had a large log over which the water was flowing gently. . . . Not as much gurgling and popping sounds, just a nice smooth, flowing sound.

One of the few usable recordings in a near gale. Some tripod movement in the wind (rare for a benbo 1) file captures the enviroment with distant rushing tide and wind in the marsh grasses. Olympus ls-5 mic. Vivanco em35 parbolic.

Mud and rocks river. Created by strong rains on the top of a volcano. After the rains, mud comes down dragging rocks. Night. Iruya, very small town in salta, northwest argentina. Recorded using zoom h4n internal mics (stereo xy setup) and rodentg-2. 3 meters distance.

Rain with a distant storm approaching or leaving.

The exciting thing about recording and cataloging natural sounds is how you get nice, unexpected surprises. I was up early recently one spring day and did not have any real plans to record, until i stepped outside with my coffee to see what the weather was like and was nicely surprised with the light, steady spring rain that was falling in my yard; during the whole time this energetic carolina wren kept on singing through the rain. I rain, got my recorder and recorded a full hour of this peaceful pattering. You hear the drops hitting the concrete patio, the shingled overhang and a plastic chair. Zoom h4n recorder using the stereo built-in mics.

This is one of my favorite sounds to open my live sets with and is featured in my track water's bomb, as well as in the intro to the digital juggernauts album, "giant killer robots. " to make it, you use a sample of a plane flying over, i used a 707, and a djm-500's pitch shifter fx. As the sample gets longer, turn the pitch to the high end, then to the low end. Hope you all love and use this sound!.

Recorded using an at875r shotgun inside a rode blimpr zeppelin with an h4n zoom recorder. Open top small glass cup. I recorded this for a fantasy short film when the medic pulls out a flask of potion.

Recorded this over at the union station in los angeles, spotted a fountain off to the side and decided it might serve useful in the future. As for credit, no need, enjoy.

Recorded on a late summer afternoon at a beach on the vineyard sound with a zoom h2, using the internal mics. Intermittent voices and a dog can be heard in the background.

Recorded on mid-summer (that looked like mid-autumn) day 2010 in vilnius with a simple olympus voice recorder. I placed an old piece of metal sheet on a broken glass fish tank near a garage wall to catch the drops, recorder was placed in the middle of the sheet. The rain was very light and fine, later it intensified and became lighter again - all this is heard in the recording. Unfortunately three recorder beeps are heard at the end signaling that it was running out of memory. I later decided to leave them in as it quite unexpectedly added some drama to the whole record. . .
