The sound of waves, recorded in the beautiful beach of venice, lido! that's great by reason of there are no one around me.

My voice, three "moans" slowed down/pitch changed with reverb added to sound like a humpback whale. Might need to use noise reduction for the popping/clicking when you use it. I made this because icouldn't find a good clear whale song.

Walking across old, hard snow to a river with rushing water at 9:30 on a february morning. No credit necessary, but as always, it is greatly appreciated.

Wine glass, tuned with water, being hit with an improvised percussion stick made from chopstick and a piece of plastic. Recorded with olympus ls-10 (no zoom) in a small reverberating bathroom, edited in audacity. The whole pack intended to be used as a virtual instrument. Note c#4 (root note c5, 440hz).

Raindrops in a rainwater gutter which ends in plastic construction foil, depending on the angle of the foil it leads to a different pitch of the dropping.

Medium sized waves recorded sitting on a groyn (no giggling - that's the name given for a construction of wood or rock going out perpendicular to the coast to avoid erosion or longshoredrift)from whence i could get the gurgling of the water as well as the crashing of the small waves and the sucking and pulling of the stones. Recorded on a minidisk with an sm58 from what i recall.

I recorded myself filling up a cup of water for a game and while playing around with some settings i decided to paulstretch the sound. This was the result and i thought it would be perfect for any kind of horror/scary ambience!.

The pacific coast highway (highway 1), point magu california. Taken on the side of the road beside the ocean. Overcast day, shortly before it began raining, so the waves are strong, hitting the beach hard. Enjoy. :).

Was cooking a ham steak one night and when poking it with a fork noticed it made some awesomely gross sounds, lol. So, like any astute audio lover, i grabbed my zoom and recorded it! did my best to not rattle the stove or anything on it. I'll put it as creative commons, since who really goes through and credits every single random sound file they downloaded on any given internet scourge? but i'm always interested to see how the sound are used - especially this one ;). This is a tragedy sound scape i made for a class project.

I recorded this using my sony cyber-shot camera. All i did was just play around in the sink and got some sounds from pulling the plug a few times to get some gurgling sounds and such. Hope this is useful!.

In this simple and yet not edited recording you hear someone brushing teeth and rinsing at the sink.

Actually is not rain. It is snow melting down from a roof, falling into puddles and onto a corrugated roof. I placed the microphone (zoom h2) on different spots in 4channel sorround mode. I just normalized them and mixed them into stereo. Thats it. In this case the mic is placed on the ground in the middle of the puddles and the roof. Surround recording of the waterfalls in krka/croatia. Wide-angle recording of the falls in front, with some tourist voices in the rear channels. It is high summer, crickets are chirping audibly. Operating my washing machine (front loader, brand: indesit). This reflect the full circle of a washing process from turning the control knob to the typical “clack” when the machine is finished and the look is once again released. All the intermediate steps like washing, spinning and so on, are shorten in time (otherwise this would be a 50min sound clip). But you can loop all those sounds very well. We spent the afternoon at the ruins of the abandoned radarstation on the top of teufelsberg in berlin. It had been raining in the morning so inside the whole building there were different kind of drops to record. This is a binaural-recording. It sounds amazing with headphones. My mother in the kitchen just around the corner from my closed bedroom door getting some ice from a square ice bucket in the freezer which is right at the entrance to the kitchen. You can hear them drop into her big glass and pop when they hit the water. I was recording out the window at the time. You can hear an american robin, red cardenal and mourning dove as well.
