After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of the sliding door, i followed the top of the door (where there was the most interesting sound) the full length of the wardrobe as i opened/closed the door. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.

It annoyed me i couldn't find this atmosphere anywhere here, so i decided to build this for you: remember the classic "thunder rolls then a wolf howls" sound bed used on so many kids' shows back in the 1970's? well, here you go! this is uses the classic thunderclap by a freesound user whose name i can't remember but will ad when i do remember, some more classic moaning wind by me, a retro wolf howl performed by yours truly with added reverb on top. This is a recording made in italy in the province of rieti while i filmed everything, as i was returning home, then i left my apartment, then i took the elevator and went to the top floor where i then went up to the roof of my palace, then i took the elevator again and went downstairs out the door and then got into the car. This recording was done with the shure mv88 plus digital stereo microphone connected to my new iphone 12 pro.

To record the hissing sound that i added in the sound effect, i ran the bottom of a cooking pan under some water, and then placed it on a hot stove. These are taken from my modded behringer bg412s from 2004. I know this is one of the most hated cabs in the world but i gave it 2 celestion vintage 30s. The top speakers are in an angle to the outside. . . So you get something different. It really is a awesome heavy plywood cab. . . No chipwood crap.
