Recorded on a canon d550 camera. I live near a water tower built into a hill and firework displays cause a strange echo as the shock wave passes through. Listen to the first burst of bangs and there is a faint sound of "gravel falling into water". I suppose the frequency of the explosion is reverberating in the air gap in the water tower. There is a second burst of fireworks which are far away. Traffic from the a3 road is audible.

A walk through ridley road market in dalston, east london. Lots of people chatting and music playing. As with many markets in london there are lots of languages being spoken. You can hear traders calling out what they're selling. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is some processing to this recording to ‘normalize’ the levels and light eq-ing. I do not require any credit or attribution. This is my first recording using my binaural mic. I took a walk to meet my wife for lunch and decided to record it. It was windy outside, and even with the standard foam wind protection, you can still hear some wind rumble. It might be fixed using some low cut filtering but i wanted to post it as is. This take started inside my recording studio and ended in a fairly large avenue with lots of traffic (cars and motorcycles). There is a pause on the recording by 01:59, when i had to change the mic cable position. Signal chain: roland cs-10em (with foam windscreen) > sony pcm-m10 (rec level: manual, at about 3,5; mic sensitivity: low; limiter: off; low cut filter: disabled).

The street is quite busy with traffic and has been mic'd close-range, giving quite a wide stereo image. One can clearly hear the rotten weather this clip was recorded in.

It is dusk on an autumn evening on the south side of the river thames, a few feet downstream from vauxhall bridge. Innumerable starlings have congregated in a murmuration underneath (in fact inside the fabric of) the bridge to noisily discuss the day before sleep. Overhead, cars and buses thump across the bridge panels, while small groups of city workers, nurses and spies head home or for drinks. All the while the river laps away as an unconscious heartbeat, and is churned up by the thrum of a passing riverboat.
