Rain tapping on metallic awning.

A pure recording of an early morning rainshower in the deep woods. Recorded on august 6th, 2013 at 6:30 in the morning. You will hear some birds singing as well -- despite the shower. Recording made with the zoom h4n recorder using the internal built-in microphones with the volume level at 80. You will note the gradual increase in rain intensity as the recording progresses. . .

Heavy rain recorded on my balcony. There are some mild traffic noises on the background.

Rain that slowly weakens away. There's a bunch of water sounds like the rain hitting the roof and dripping on the deck. Recorded using an audio-technica atr2500-usb microphone.

Its a field recorded sound during a heavily rainy night at the island of corfu (greece). Zoom h6, xy recording (120 angle).

Well. . . . . Field recording is a bit of a stretch this was recorded on my back porch in springfield mo usa in june of 2000. I used a minidisk and two pzm's and a home made spliter box that worked only if you never touched it. It was one in the morning to try and avoid most of the traffic. Rain starts about half way in. Enjoy.

Fountain (sounds like rain).

Rainstorm in portland, maine. Raindrops hitting window. Gusts of wind. Dripping of window leak into bucket--accelerates in last few seconds of recording. This was recorded on sony dsc-hx9v camera.

The sound of the rain.

Recorded during the tail end of a rather large rainstorm. The birds go nuts whenever it rains, so they were out in full force! recorded with a tascam dr-07 mk. Ii microphone.

A brief summer storm that occured in my home town of perth on the 31st of january 2023, starting at around 12:30 am and going for about 10 minutes. I decided to quickly setup my +atat 2020 and put it just outside my roof under the patio to record the rain on the tin roof.

I recorded this from my backyard on a rainy day.

An hour and 20 mins of steady rainfall becoming heavier with time. Maybe some distant traffic noise too.

This was recorded on my bed from the open window.

Quiet rain on a lake shore in march.

Rain: this is a very subtle rain sound. It is not sharp but it is very constant. The droplets are hitting hard ground. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. This sound is great to add volume to an already existing rain-ambience.

Heavy rain on roofs.

This ambience was recorded during a film shoot in a house in a quiet part of a large city. It was about 3am so no cars. Action sounds have been edited so you get ambience only. Quiet useful i think. No need to credit. Enjoy!.

Heavy rain from inside a building. The irregular pattern of the sound and it being muffled lends itself to sounding like a rainstorm hitting the side of a building.

A few minutes of heavyish rain which gently stops and the birds begin to sing again. Children in a neighbouring garden play and the wind is audible in the trees throughout. Recorded at 96khz 24bit. Free to use in anything.

I recorded the end of a rain storm with water running off of the house and multitudes and species of frogs in the background. I used my phone to record a mono track and then used audacity to simulate spatial stereo. It made the traffic in the distance sound like spirits moaning. I thought it was pretty cool. (-;.
