A one minute clip of steady heavy reain without wind but with some thunder in the second half of the clip.

A morning thunder shower. A single truck drives by near the end.

This is a recording of me, walking on the sidewalk of a road during heavy rain and wind. The cars passing me is driving through the water. I am using a røde blimp with deadcat in my hand, containing a sennheiser mkh 416 and a ambient ate 308 emesser in a ms-stereo setup. The recorder that i use is a zoom f6, but the ms-stereo decoding is done in pro tools in post. 32bit float 48khz.

Chinese flute loop from morphagene processed to rainforest atmosphere by makenoise and cortini´s strega. Strega is also being sequenced by rené. A little harder hitting than its sister track. Feel free to splice into morphagene and add markers to taste. It's sampled at 48khz 32 bit. I used reaper to record it. Most of all, enjoy!.

I was sitting on the porch during a storm so i decided to record the weather as i worked on my laptop. The mic was mounted on my laptop, so the sound of my keypresses travels into recording with what i consider a very pleasant bass-y thump.

Thunder in suburban melbourne, light rain. A wide variety of different strikes, good for drama, easy to eq for different emphasis. One massive overhead strike about 6:15 in. Xy-coincident stereo mic recording @44k1.

Recorded on mid-summer (that looked like mid-autumn) day 2010 in vilnius with a simple olympus voice recorder. I placed an old piece of metal sheet on a broken glass fish tank near a garage wall to catch the drops, recorder was placed in the middle of the sheet. The rain was very light and fine, later it intensified and became lighter again - all this is heard in the recording. Unfortunately three recorder beeps are heard at the end signaling that it was running out of memory. I later decided to leave them in as it quite unexpectedly added some drama to the whole record. . .

The monsoon rain has set in for now. It is constant. Last night it became heavy around midnight and was relentless all night until around dawn. In the early hours of the morning the only sound is the rain.

This was a fairly small air mass thunderstorm, only a few km across. However, it made up for its size with amplitude, becoming the largest attention seeker for miles around. Listen at -07:12 for some of the strangest thunder i have ever heard. . . Recorded with a rode stero videomic pro.

It's not rain but sounds like rain - fog and damp settling in the trees as a breeze blows. Recorded in the fields above my home in the fog and damp - so sounds amplified and 'hollow'. Recorded using a sennheiser mke300 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in audacity; and saved as aif file. Rustling leaves can also be made out. Feel free to hash it, mash it and trash it. Use it as you wish. A recording i made using my 3dio binaural microphones (and zoomh1 as the recorder). Set up the tripod near the door to my balcony. You can hear the wind against the house, rattling a little in some places. Rain comes and goes, against the glass door. Some cars can be heard outside, on the wet concrete.
