The "concrete cello" pack is a collection of scraping, scratchy and droning improvisations on the cello focussing on the creation of sounds to be used as base materials for future compositions. They were originally recorded in 2019 to be used in as sound design elements for the documentary "hotel regina" by director matthias berger for which i composed the music. Part of the impetus of this sampling session was to create cello sounds that would be remiscent of construction machines. (if you look on the geotag you can see the machines, well, sort of). This is heavily inspired by the urban myth and/or creepypasta called the backrooms, which have a very distinct atmosphere to them. This is my interpretation. However, this isn't exclusively for backrooms-related stuff! so by all means, if you're simply in need of some interior ambience of any sort, that's also why i made this for you. No advanced processing was used to achieve this sound. I recorded an electrical box in my garage for the buzzing. For the 2nd layer, i turned on some fans in my room, and made a long mono recording of the white-noise. I then split the recording in half, and used each half for the left and right channel, giving it a stereo sound. I then spent an hour leveling all of it because i'm a perfectionist. Yay. Hardware & software used:-audacity-zoom h4n pro (buzzing)-rode nt1 (fan-noise).

Free to use without restricition. No attribution required. 50 seconds of ghostly wails over a dark sub bass drone with wide stereo reverb. Produced by using two old school analog synths, a cs-80 and a dx7. All chorus, phaser and reverb settings were manipulated within the synths. An external hi-pass eq plugin was added in order to cut off the subs at 30hz. These old analog synths produce frequencies way below the tolerance of your monitors; thus the need for a bass cutoff, not to mention to also prevent involuntary bowel leakage xd.

One of a series of heavily processed recordings i made using a hikari monos cv. It's a small, highly tweakable synthesizer that's great for drones, resonant pings, and all manner of dynamic electronic sounds. ‘slayer’ refers to s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin made by twisted tools. By layering, blending, and mulching the original monos recordings, i was able to get a range of sounds the are dynamic, punchy, and unabashedly stereo. These might be useful for edgy-sounding ui elements.
