Tiffany Blue is the colloquial name for the light medium robin egg blue color associated with Tiffany & Co., the New York City jewelry company created by Charles Tiffany and John Young in 1837. The color was used on the cover of Tiffany's Blue Book, first published in 1845.Since then, Tiffany & Co. has used the color extensively on promotional materials like boxes and bags. Since 1998, the Tiffany Blue color has been registered as a color trademark by Tiffany & Co. It is produced as a private custom color by Pantone, with PMS number 1837, the number deriving from the year of Tiffany's foundation.

Tawny (also called tenné) is a light brown to brownish-orange color. The word means "tan-colored", from Anglo-Norman tauné "associated with the brownish-yellow of tanned leather", from Old French tané "to tan hides", from Medieval Latin tannare, from tannum "crushed oak bark", used in tanning leather, probably from a Celtic source (e.g. Breton tann, "oak tree").

Rose madder (also known as madder) is a red paint made from the pigment madder lake, a traditional lake pigment extracted from the common madder plant Rubia tinctorum. Madder lake contains two organic red dyes: alizarin and purpurin.As a paint, it has been described as a fugitive, transparent, nonstaining, mid valued, moderately dull violet red pigment in tints and medium solutions, darkening to an impermanent, dull magenta red in masstone.

Platinum is a color that is the metallic tint of pale grayish-white resembling the metal platinum. The first recorded use of platinum as a color name in English was in 1918.

Rose pink is a reddish purple color. The first recorded use of rose pink as a color name in English was in 1760.

Safety orange (also known as blaze orange, vivid orange, OSHA orange, hunter orange, or Caltrans orange) is a hue used to set objects apart from their surroundings, particularly in complementary contrast to the azure color of the sky. (Azure is the complementary color of orange, and thus there is a stark contrast between the two colors.) The high-visibility color is commonly used for hunting during the rifle season and is also used for upland-bird hunting. Places such as construction sites use this orange to help ensure the safety of others.

Cosmic latte is the average color of the universe, found by a team of astronomers from Johns Hopkins University (JHU). In 2002, Karl Glazebrook and Ivan Baldry determined that the average color of the universe was a greenish white, but they soon corrected their analysis in a 2003 paper in which they reported that their survey of the light from over 200,000 galaxies averaged to a slightly beigeish white. The hex triplet value for cosmic latte is #FFF8E7.

Sage is a grey-green resembling that of dried sage leaves. As a quaternary color, it is an equal mix of the tertiary colors citron and slate. The hex RGB color value of the Sage swatch at right is BCB88A. For decades, some military flight jackets were made in sage green color.
