One of my brothers came by spontaneously to say hello and he slammed the door behind him hahah. It was non-aggressive of course, the door is heavy and has to be slammed in order for it to be properly closed !. Little did my bro know that i was recording and that i managed to catch the door slam !. The house was dark, empty and quiet - he wondered wtf was going on lol. It sounds a bit distant, it's because i was in the bedroom and not in the entrance. This sound is natural too, which is perfect. This is a door being violently pounded on. I did a few different types. A rapid succession of pounding and a few slower bangs.

For sound effect, or a bit of rhythm. I happened to record this sound without knowing after i had done some field recordings. I hope low frequency sounds abundantly on your devices. My small speakers don't. Recorded with at825 and fr-2.

A collection of 15 more rubber sealed doors being opened and closed. Each door has 6 samples included:- 3 open+close samples from inside the room- 3 open+close samples from outside the room. Recorded using the zoom h6 ms module.

I used bdx for the kick, sent through disto-fx and various eq plugins. Cymbalistic was used for the hihats, with further eq and gating placed on it. The snare was from a free sample pack (i can't remember the name of) sent through a resonator, eq plugins and some soft-clippers to give it a bigger sound. Clipmax was used on the master channel.

The abrupt metal slam of a spring-loaded mailbox.

I recorded the sound of my wooden, squeaky screen door opening and then bouncing shut with a couple bangs. You can hear the squeak of the hinges as the door is opened, then again as it starts to close. The stretching and retraction of the spring is slightly noticeable. The door bounces a couple times as it closes, and you can also hear the latch rattling at this time. Recorded with audacity on my computer using a cheap, hand-held piezo mic. (i recorded this for use in a theatrical play i was working on [ daddy's dyin'. . . Who's got the will? ] because i couldn't find anything suitable elsewhere. ).
