Futuristic mechshop atmosphere created inside flstudio with filtered white noise generators, flstudio wasp, pitch envelopes, channel gain automation plus lashings of reverb for effect. Each one of the nonsensical announcements at the start are entirely synthetic. They're text to speech, done on-the-fly, with pre-fader pitch modulation embedded in automation track. No synths were harmed in the making of this cacophany.

The very free one had to much background for my taste, while the attribution one required, well, attribution. So i made one for those just looking for a free sound. Enjoy. Sort of a sample pack i guess? my very first time recording something and putting it into my future garage track ,which turned out to be a total disaster(not reallyhave a great time messing up with them in my following tracks though :3.

Typing on a mechanical keyboard (leopold fc660m, mx browns, enjoypbt and gmk caps). This one is the more bassy of the two recorded using my keyboard. Recorded with a zoom hd1 placed slightly above the left side of the keyboard.

The sound of a lift in an office block in hounslow. It has a clanking mechanical sound that might work for a metal monster or robot in a sci-fi film. The lift chimes are also very old school and might be useful as well. Recorded with a tascam dr44wl.

Sound of a mechanism in operation, or a crank or some sort of lever being pulled.

Sound made by a small electric motor cranking and reversing a lever (on an infant's glider/sleeper). This take has multiple repeats of the sound (a different take i have here provides just one repeat of the sound). If you pitch-shift this down about six steps and add a metal/plate/hall reverberation effect, it sounds remarkably like a sound you hear in the carbonite chamber scene in the empire strikes back :). This was recorded with a sony icd-st voice recorder held next to the glider, then noise removed with an audio tool, then normalized. I request but don't demand credit to me (richard alexander hall) for any use of this sound.

A wooshing/spinning sound.

A few years ago, while experimenting with the newly release "gross beat" effect plugin, i stumbled over a possible way the "transform" up and "transform" down sounds were designed/made in the mid 80's --the chief mechanic is i believe a "spin" down with a turntable for starters. . . Here is "up".
