Composite several recordings of large coins (silver dollars, ike dollars, 50 cent pieces) dropped on a carpet from about 25cm. The aim was to make it sound like lots of money was falling out of a secret compartment - much like a slot machine.
A number of coins dropping on to concrete made by overlaying a single coin drop and offsetting multiple times. Made using two coin loops in logic x but creating a number of tracks, offsetting the loops at 'random' to create the sound of multiple coins. Also truncated some loops for variation.
Picking up a small leather bag with a loose collection of coins and glass beads. Designed to sound like picking up a rich purse of coins in a video game.
This is the sound produced by introducing a coin into a food vending machine. It's features are: short, high freq, impulsive,. . . It has been recorded with a zoom h2 handy recorder in the area where we can find a set of lockers in tallers (university pompeu fabra, barcelona).
Noise removal and compressor applied. Sounds include:- light, hollow coin dropped into a small bag of coins- heavier coin dropped into a small bag of coins- coin tossed on floor, leveling out- coin tosses on floor, bouncing back.
