I needed a file for a clip i was doing so i put together this file and reduced the sound while the girls were speaking. It made for some good construction racket.

This morning i woke up to the sound of a city crew jackhammering concrete just outside my window. I grabbed my h2 and recorded for a while. This file is an edit of the full recording. It contains two bursts of jackhammering, one fairly short and one longer. The background noise is the sound of the air compressor. Toward the end the compressor is turned off and the last of the pressure is released by the jackhammer as it sort of "putters out". This last bit is a bit unique.

This is a recording of men working at a construction site. You can hear individual hammers as well as a jackhammer and other machinery. Also, two men were shoveling refuse off a concrete platform and putting it into plastic bags. Attribution isn't required, but i'd love to hear anything you use it in!. I grabbed a metal mallet (mini sledgehammer) and dropped in on cement in various ways. Lightly and a bit harder. Recorded into my ntg3 in a garage sectioned off. Signal to noise ratio was really good because it was a loud sound. H5 was my recorded. Cleaned some hum using rx4. Boom!. Pretty please, post a link if you use this file. Drip coffee without sugar recorded with internal zoom h1 mics @ 44. 1k 24 bit. . . Leveled and normalized and dc removed in reaper with various vst's. Rendered @ 44. 1k 16 bit with dither and noise shaping probably not needed. . . Then encoded to flac level 6 with dbpoweramp and uploaded.

Crowded diner/restaurant in tokyo. This is a stereo mixdown of a 4 channel surround recording i took in a crowded restaurant in tokyo. You can hear a a lot of conversations, some waiters and lots of utensil sounds. Most of the conversation in the background is in japanese. I think i heard some english when i edited this, but i'm not really sure. Anyways, good stuff. Mics were places at a 20 degree and 90 degree angle and then later mixed down to stereo. Enjoy!.
