A crackling fire burning in the fireplace. Wood and paper are burnt -- there is some audio of paper being crumpled near the beginning. The recording is low, but made from about one foot away with very little room noise.

(specifically acon digital multiply, a free plugin, set to the "romantic" preset). * track 3 (not as low as track 2, but closer to track 2 than 1)- reverb (a large hall impulse response. No adjustments, ie. No increased attack or stretching like for track 1. ). -chorus doubler (free plugin duet, preset: "basic doubler. " same effect as if i had doubled the track and pitched one up 6 cents. ). - chorus (free plugin acon digital multiply, preset: "romantic. "). * track 4 (most flame-thrower, whooshy of tracks. )- reverb (impulse response says "hall medium," but it's a thick, even echo from start to finish. Makes the sound go from its default "whoosh" to a flamethrower noise. - chorus doubler (duet again, preset: basic doubler). - chorus (acon digital multiply, preset: "romantic. "). Some generative wildfire sfx made with sunvox. The crackling sounds were made by taking some highpassed white noise, ring modulating it with some more white noise, and then using a noise gate to usilate the loudest 'crackles'. The rumbling was created using lowpassed white noise, and the wind was made by bandpassing white noise with a high resonance and randomly sliding the filter frequency. Everything was sent into a reverb and a stereo expander.

Night - paper burn.

It's a strange sound a candle was making while lit. I've pushed three burnt-off matches as a replacement for the wick, and they created such a shape of flame, that was "pumping" creating a strange buzzing sound. Recorded with a zoom h2.

Request, drop a pill into fizz water and recorde the disslove. I recorded the whole process: open the pill, open the bottle, drop the pill several times, fill the glas with pop-water, drop the pill and waiting for dissolve.

I recorded the sound of some bottles clinking together for a project i'm working on, and thought someone else might find it useful too!.

Water in a bottle being shaken around.

Tapping large water bottles (metal) against a leg to hear them make melodic sounds. You can hear the slosh of the water inside and the resonant tone. Noise reduction and amplification were applied to this sound using reaper.

Match being lit-up on the side of the matchbox, then flame being blown out at the end. Recorded using the smartphone's voice notes app. The audio was cut and converted from. M4a to. Wav using reaper.

This was recorded a few feet away from an indoor fireplace. The recording was made with a tascam dr-05. Note: you may hear squeaking sounds or other artifacts in the compressed online preview. The file you download will not have these issues.

In this series of recordings i strike many cook's safety matches, in a small plaster-boarded room. These sounds were recorded with a match pair of rode m5 small diaphragm condenser microphones, into a zoom h4n. These are the raw sound recording with not noise reduction, eq, or compression. These sounds are 100% free for all uses.

At the beginning it's a little outside fire with little branchs cracking. Then it's much bigger, trees are burning. Also some very ponctual voices. France, 2006. Recorded with ab ortf shoepsrecorded on sounddevice 788t49khz, 16 bits.
