A pair of owls stationed themselves outside my half-basement bedroom window in colorado early this morning around 12am. Unfortunately i only had my phone to capture them with, but it still turned out alright, save for the periodic vox-like breaks when silencing background noise. The hoot is obvious as to the source, but i'm unsure about the screech/cry that occurs with equal frequency. Is it the response of a mate? or just the yip of a curious neighbor dog?. Recorded with the stock application on my lg g3 phone and encoded to mp3 using the "video to mp3" app.

Propeller aircraft sound captured mid-afternoon on asunny day with birds in the background.

Outdoor ambience. Recorded in march 2018 at 12:45pm. The recording was taken at an open window from my studio in orange county, california. You can hear birds in the foreground, a highway in the distance, and a motorist with a loud engine rev in an ally below my studio.

My house is next to a nature preserve but there is also a road where cars drive by every so often so there are parts of this recording with car sounds and parts with just the birds chirping.

The peaceful natural recording was made in early march of 2012 in woods bordering a lake. Even though it was late-winter/early spring and was cold -- about 38 degrees -- it was not totally still. These tufted titmice and song sparrows were actively singing as if to say "hey, winter's almost gone, get ready for spring. "recorded onto a zoom h4n recorder using a rode nt-g2 shotgun microphone mounted inside a parabolic dish.

Wav, but on this one i eq'd out all lows below 250hz in an attempt to eliminate the dull drone of an air conditioner. Recorded in early april 2012 at about 5:00 a. M. In a rural area. Some thunders are closer, pretty clear and loud. Be ware for some of my movement sounds, you may need to edit.
