Believe it or not, this sound effect was created by a thunderstorm knocking out my power while audacity was encoding an mp3 of the van morrison song, "brown eyed girl. ". This sound effect is in the public domain. You may use and remix it how ever you see fit. .

Cd player mechanics recorded from 5cd charger panasonic cd stereo system sa-pm27. Edited speed and pitch on some parts of audio to gain robotic like mechanics sound.

This is the sound of a vacuum cleaner shutting off. This is a stereo recording of an exterior glass and metal door on a university campus in new jersey, usa. There are several articulations of the door here that lend themselves to creature and robot noises. There is a whimper and a sigh and a screech as well as some ticking and clicking. This reminded me very much of baby godzilla type noises. I've put these into iris 2 and had a good time making synth patches with them. Stereo recording at 48khz 24bit on a tascam d-40x using the internal microphones.

This is one of my favorite sounds to open my live sets with and is featured in my track water's bomb, as well as in the intro to the digital juggernauts album, "giant killer robots. " to make it, you use a sample of a plane flying over, i used a 707, and a djm-500's pitch shifter fx. As the sample gets longer, turn the pitch to the high end, then to the low end. In the spirit of the jam, as a thank you for the chance to be a part of such an awesome event and to meet new incredibly talented people, i decided to give away for free some samples of recording i did of electric current and some final sfx that were used in the game.
