Cut up a recording of an old grandfather clock, removed the noisy whirring in between ticks, and added long dreamy reverb that grows a bit towards the end. .
I was slowly releasing air from a water bottle through a hole in the cap, then threw it into audacity and applied paulstretch and some other effects. Sounds like eerie hl2 citadel strange talk ambience.

A gregorian chant melody line with arpeggiated harmony played from digital keyboard into a music maker midi recording. I gave it a whirl with a vst synthesizer voice called men's cathedral, twirled lots of dials and this came out.
This could also work as a pad if you raise the value of the attack. I'm unable to recall exactly what i used to create this sound so feel free to tell yourself it came from whatever: a bird, some sort of whistle, maybe a whale song, etc. More importantly , please enjoy! -vanszi.
Looping, swirling, sweeping, echoey, ambient keyboard sound. The result of an experiment one night with a korg z1 and a pile of vst stuff. Unfortunately i only experimented with it in one key =(. Will also loop nicely in a kind of moody, urban, dubsteppy way at around 67-70bpm.

(large hall reverb with decay at 99%, or maybe even 100% for that endless washed out effect).
A sample i made years ago. Pitched way down to create a seamless loop of ambience with two automated notch filters and an automated bandpass filter on flstudio's pmeq2. I accidentally came up with this sound when i was remixing one of my favorite songs on audacity. It sounds like a whole bunch of computer software and techy stuff sparking, beeping and crackling. Would be great for a movie introduction if it was overlayed with soundtrack.
