This is a 5 second rendering of the famous 1000hz censoring tone used on tv, movies and broadcasts. It can be cut, looped and used to censor audio that may be sensitive in nature or otherwise not fit for broadcasting. Made the tone using an analog tone/pulse generator fed into a focusrite scarlet 2i4. The sound is very clean (no noise). As this "tone" is fairly easy to reproduce and there is no copyright on it, i'm not going to ask for attribution or anything. Just use it as you see fit whether it'd be commercial or private. I've fiddled with this sound for a while, its 22 layers of base tones, atmosphere and static blended together to create a heavy, powerful sounding beam weapon. The finish is a slowed, lowered and reverberated tone from a french horn.

So i got a new phone and i didn't like any of the notification sounds, so i decided to make my own sound :d i used the korg m1 in fl studio.

My apartment/studio was very quiet except for the steam heat so i put a mic in the middle of the room (an ear trumpet labs edwina) and put it through a lindell mic preamp and then into a focusrite 18i20 interface to record. This is the mono, 48khz, 32-bit file for your dining and dancing pleasure. Actually, it's just room tone and can be mixed judiciously to cover gaps in your own tone or to make brand new rooms from scratch.

My dad had an old beat-up mouth organ, which was double tuned, in micro-tones to give a shimmering vibrato effect. I loved to just explore the overtones, and recompose them to make complex chords.
