Recorded using an iphone 3g voice recorder sitting in the center of the plaza at la cruz de huanacaxtle in nayarit mexico. Tropical birds in a tree to the left, a person to the right fiddles with their bag, then near the end a single small car drives around the block. About 1 minute in duration.

This is an ambient background sound made in the tropical rain forest from the venezuelan amazonas at noon (12:00m), there you can listen to some exotic bird singin, some early cicades and wind striking moriche treepalms. This is a sample of a classic (diy) dubsiren build by me. Its a squarewave synth modulated with a squarewave lfo. The sample is dry. Add delay and some chorus, reverb, (resonant) (auto) filter or so to get the typical dubby soundsystem style.

A bird created by whistling. Recorded with a (blue microphones, snowball ice) the sound was postprocessed to make the bird sound more unique, for jungle soundscapes. Used audacity for both recording and processing. Rainforest or Wetland Frogs chirping and talking to each other

This is a recording of the six o'clock cicada taken near to the danum valley rain forest lodge in the primary rain forest of borneo. The 6 o'clock cicada is the loud horn type of sound that can be heard in the fist few seconds of the file. Later in the file other insects come in one sounding more like a car alarm.

While staying in the cuyabeno jungle in the amazon basin of ecuador, i took a walk one afternoon into the jungle just as it started to rain. Armed with my minidisk recorder i sat for as long as i could to get this recording.

I recorded this sound at the nagarhole tiger reserve in karnataka, india. The sound is recorded on my iphone 12 pro using the dolby on app. There are unfortunately some minor unwanted sounds in the recording caused by things like someone moving in their seat. But it’s a nice ambient recording to use if you are able to edit around it. The recording was done at 7:30am.
