A bubbling sound which makes an excellent loop for a background sound effect. Like a scientist's lab, or a wizard's cauldron bubbling away. I've also thought it would be a cool sort of futuristic bubble car kind of sound as well as it floats along. Anyway, use your imagination and apply it to whatever you want. I made the sound by flicking my lips with my finger, but it makes a great bubble sound.

For one reason or another helsinki come to my mind today. For this drone i took an excellent helsinki field-recording, by the freesound user susipekka, as background.

Started with me playing with doepfer a-146-2 as gate delay. Went on using it as a wave shaper. Went on and on. . . It's not a very big patch. But the outcome is nice. It's a mix of chaos and random. Yes i'm using jerk off and sloth. Analog modular synth fun.

The sound is not as clean as in the virtual one. To some extent i blame my method of recording. . . Different oscillators sound different. Here i use a self oscillating filter. That produces a clean sinus wave. The cleanest sinus in my rack. But i guess the real thing is not perfect and that is what you are hearing? in neither of the patches i use a quantizer. . . (that's art :-)and, i almost forgot, i use a cheap analog delay pedal. Noisy. . .

Or some acid sounds… and drone. All in oneused filters are> doepfer a-124 special edition, the wasp filter> uoki-toki polivoks vcf> intellijel μvcfdidnt plan to upload this to freesound, but read this. Okay filter freaks. . . The frequency analysis reveals a peak around 20khz. Through all of the track? almost. What is that? (when i converted the file to mp3 the peak disappears. . . ) one clue could be that i use the filter as vcas too?i have applied normalisation, compression and limiter in audacity. I'm getting to know a comparator. Why haven't i used it before?here i'm using, let's say, 2,5 comparators. Extremely electronic. Yes!look at those waves i'm creating!no filter! this is addative synthesis. Long loop.

I have made a patch that generates drones. Lets call this generative. . . I use feedback on my spring reverb. I only use one filter. The drone is structured by a triangle lfo and 2 comparators. It's tricky to balance the patch to give varying and interesting results. The drone is made with a 100% analog modular synth.

It has a start and an ending. . . Feedback. If you like noise. . .

The day before the swedish election 2018. Yes ,there where was an other version of this sound before. . . Free sound keep suggesting the tag "digital". Wrong! my sounds are made with analog gear. Right, the sound has to be digital to reach you - this way.

2hp osc is fm modulating bermuda (using fm in). Pitch cv to osc is controlled by sloth and attenuverter. The bermuda tri output singnal is shaped by doepfer vactrol vcf. The vcf is modulated by sloth (cv in 1) and jerkoff (cv in 2). The noise it from dan, going to polivioks vcf. Polivoks is modulated by sloth. Output from vcf is going to vca controlled by another sloth.

Had a patch. Changed speed, attack and delay time. Got this. A bubbly noisy landscape. At the end i dissconect the "main lfo". The one thats makes things advance. But beyond that i get sounds.

Simple patch. Two oscillators, ring modulation, lfos, vcas and digital effects. No spring reverb this time. Important module is the clock divider. Result a generative ambient patch and sound. I recorded for 1,5h. The synth gave me some strange slow crescendo. Don't really know why. This is the last 30 min. Space drone sci-fi sound.

Mid/side recording of my stomach after having a fizzy drink. I laid down and placed the zoom h2n directly on my stomach. All kinds of stomach ejactulations can be heard in addition to my heartbeat. Raw 24/96 ms recording; be sure to decode before use. Left channel is mid, right is side. To do this manually you should separate the channels to two mono tracks, duplicate the side track and invert the duplicate. Pan the side tracks hard left and right, and mix with the mono mid channel. Or use a plugin to do it for you :d.

A strange beat. Might be hard to use? it has go something. . .

The drone has a form of pattern repeating every 2 minutes. But other thing are vaguely linked to this pattern. The heart of this patch is intellijel quadra + expansion. I'm using 3 oscillators and noise. I add some character to the sound with a driver pedal (boss bd-2).

Now i have two a-160.

Boring sound. . . Neuron patch (?). . . Inspired by nlc squid axon (i have saved some hp for that one!) i have patched up a simple 2 stage asr with 2 s/h. Most of the time it plays its atonal melody, but when the patch is stimulated (by a sloth lfo) feedback opens up. I can adjust the sensitivity in different ways (so i can simulate the intake of drugs. . . ). The sound from the oscs goes though vcfs with some resonance. The vcfs are controlled by the same sloth lfo. My neuron patch. . . No hands during recording. My favourite part is when nothing happens - for almost 1 min?! but you can hear the filter working via the vcfs. The cv must be in some strange area.

2nd sound today! in spite of short time by the synth. . . . Anyway here in using a feedback loop on the quadra envelope generatorstrange effect with long pausesi use quantizer on thisnoise from jupiter storm. Evaluation of patch/soundone cycle is - about 17 sec - goodonly short sounds - no and yes, good this timeamplitude variation - yep goodpitch variation - yep, enough, goodtimbre variation - could say somusical value - i should consider this musicalentertaining - hmm. . .
