The apollonia is a mechanized organ and music machine. It was built in 1926 and resides in the musical instrument museum (phoeniz, arizona). It takes up the space of an entire wall. Tech notes: this is a stereo recording made with a sony pcm-d50 (onboard mics, close xy pattern). I failed to notice that the low-cut filter was engaged on the recorder, so the full bass range of the instrument was not properly captured. You'll need to hear it for yourself in person!.

Sound of several flies species (diptera) crickets(ortoptera) and a lot of undefined crackles blops and clicks result of the frenetic activity of various types of grubs and worms into the rotting organic matter. This was recorded at the san giorgi in braida church along the adige river in verona, italy. I used a zoom h1 set on the top of a pew a few seats away from where i sat. The organist was practicing at nearly the other end of the church, hence the atmospheric and distant audio quality.
