Having no other recording device, i used my camera, a lumix dmc fz62 that has good microphones and can record decent stereo wav files, without compression.

Sound created from whistling a tune, then reversed while applying othereffects as well. -----------------------------------------------------------------------. This sound, like everything i upload here,is completely free for anyone to use. I hope it is useful. 🎶.

The shovelling of gravelly sand (not overly authentic-sounding, as i had to do it with one hand).

The sound of something or someone shrieking rhythmically in the cemetery while i was passing by around midnight. The shrieking went for probably 30 seconds at a time, with pauses of around 30 seconds in between. I recorded it on my cell phone, so it's terrible quality.

This is a festival called "els tres tombs" where animals are the stars. The sound is recorded in sant cugat del vallès, catalonia.

I made this file and used paulstretching and pitch change. I liked it. It's pretty much indescribable so see what you think. I hesitated to put "angels" on it but it does sound at some point like a host of voices.

Large metal sheet and ornamental metalwork gate to village cemetery opened and shut, creaking on it's hinges. Recorded around midnight to avoid bird and insect calls - despite this precaution there were birds calling in the distance. On arrival i saw there was a house adjacent to cemetery. Fearful of waking the non-dead i didnt hang around for more than two bad takes. I've added this not so impressive recording to give a taste of what i hope to record of this wonderfully vocal gate in the future.

This is two slabs of concrete , one on top of the other, and scraped together. Brings to mind a stone tomb being opened (or a concrete coffin).

A stereo recording of a weekday afternoon at melbourne general cemetery (victoria, australia), in the suburb of carlton north or princes hill. There are some birds, a plane flying overhead. It was recorded using a sony pcm-d50's built-in stereo microphones and has had light noise reduction applied (de-wind, rx8). This recording was taken in august 2021 on unceded wurundjeri land, which belongs to the woi wurrung people of the eastern kulin nations. I acknowledge their sovereignty and pay my respects to their elders and all first nations people.
