Rumbling distant thunder, a few closer thunderclaps, soft breeze on large tree near balcony, dripping water on balcony, a short siren in the distance, faint air conditioner noises. In this sample you hear a recording from inside a well sound insulated room, directly under the roof of a house. Strong rain hints the roof and produces low frequency muted sounds. In the background you hear the constant noise of the rain, coming through the window. There are also a few raindrops hitting the glass of the window. The sample was recorded using the built-in stereo microphone of a zoom h4n recorder. It was slightly processed to remove unwanted low and high frequencies which were not related to the actual recording. Grass cutting/trimming: city hall worker cutting grass with a noisy grass cutter/trimmer on a sunny day in a house zone, with a dog barking and birds chirping in the background. Recorded with a takstar sgc-598 microphone(10+ db, low-cut), into a zoom h1n(limiter on, full quality, gain ~8). The sound was not post-processed.

A very loud and rumbly thunderstorm rolled through jefferson city, mo. I set up my zoom h4n with the mics set to 120 degrees to record the storm. Less than a minute after i started recording, a lightning bolt hit just across the street. A lot of loud and rumbly thunder in this audio clip.
