Created on a synth with fx added in post. Is it the sound of aliens and ghosts leaving earth? you tell me!.

I decided to make some sci-fi (forbidden planet) inspired ambient sounds and i came up with this. I used harmor from image-line to create these sounds. I hope you like it!.

Noise of a solar power dc-ac inverter on a sunny day. A static hum with some kind of a rhythmic modulation. Sometimes other noises like a bird singing outside, however mostly the pure sound of the inverter. Recorded x/y stereo with at4041 mics into a pmd661 recorder. Eqed in fabfilter, there used to be a sine beep at 15. 8khz, inaudible for many people but it would have been even more annoying for those who can still hear it.

Created for fun to document the first test launch of the (fictional) falkon8 space rocket to take humanity to the rings of saturn. After the countdown the engines start. During liftoff, ground control engineers talk to the pilots to help keep the rocket on the right course. The launch crew and pilots are talking in a particular regional northeastern italian dialect. The mission launched from the san marco platform, italian "luigi broglio" space center. Laboratory mad scientist science fiction sci fi.

A slinky spring toy stretched out and plucked once from the end, recorded with a zeppelin design labs cortado impedance-matched piezo contact microphone. The resulting recording is a classic spring-based sci-fi "laser sound" with a massive, lengthy, rumbling decay tail. This was recorded at 24 bit 96 khz. In addition to its use as a sound effect, this waveform works well inside a convolution reverb as an offbeat spring reverb impulse response, provided one has the processor power and ram to support a 2 minute 13 second convolution. The cortado's bass response is exceptionally large for a contact mic, so high pass filtering may be desired if used as an impulse response.

A science fiction, space age sliding door noise made for my sci fi sitcom accidentally reckless. I think this one was made from me making a 'tsch' noise but then with lots of other things done to it afterwards. I think it worked ok (much better than than the one i made out of me making 'zzzz' noises.
